"What are you up to, Vivian?"

"Working at the office, dealing with factory issues. Been swamped lately. Why the unexpected call, Zachary?"

His expression darkened. "Have you heard about Sarah's kidnapping?"

"Of course. Nothing stays secret in East Coast, especially among prominent families. Every little drama becomes headline news," Vivian said with a mocking edge.

Zachary's frown deepened. "You consider a kidnapping 'little drama'?"

"Come now, it's hardly serious. I heard they want three hundred million. The Sanders family can easily afford that. Melvin won't refuse - not when it's his sister's life at stake."

Mia showed Zachary something on her phone. He glanced at it before pressing on, "Money isn't the issue. But why have the kidnappers and Sarah vanished? What's really going on here?"

Vivian's voice stayed level. "This has nothing to do with me, Zachary. You're not suggesting I'm behind it?"

"Wilson Industries has quite the reach in East Coast. You could find out what's happening if you wanted to, couldn't you?"

Vivian let out a laugh. "Zachary, Sarah's my rival in love. Why would I help her?"

She suddenly changed topics. "By the way, about our engagement - shall we discuss it tonight?"

“Zach! What are you doing? Aren't we going to look for Sarah? She could be in danger - who knows who took her! How can you abandon her?" Mia said frantically.

"Shut up!" Zachary snapped, agitated. Realizing he'd just yelled at his sister, his tone softened. "Mia, I'm sorry..."

Mia's eyes filled with tears. “Zach! Are you giving up on Sarah? But you said she was the one you loved most - how can you stop looking for her?"

"Mia, Steven has already sent everyone out searching. I've also got people pulling surveillance footage from that night."

From the moment he'd learned of Sarah's kidnapping, Zachary had been holding his breath. He desperately wanted to find her, but his people couldn't find a single trace.
