Vivian's shoulders shook as she responded almost frantically, "I don't know what you're talking about! What West Ridge? What incident?"

"If you truly didn't know, you wouldn't be reacting this way." Zachary paused before continuing, "If you can keep pretending forever, then go ahead. Just never harm anyone close to me again, and don't even think about using them to threaten me."

"Before that happens, I'll compete with you fairly. Didn't you always say that Wilson Group and Reynolds Group are evenly matched? Let's see who loses more severely."

As Zachary turned to leave, Vivian seemed to snap back to reality and frantically grabbed at him. "Zachary! Please don't cancel our engagement, okay? I truly care about you. Do you know how long I've waited for our day? Since we settled on the engagement date, I've thought about it day and night. I even dream about the ceremony. You can't just abandon me like this!"
