ELISE'S POV
The bad smell coming from him was suffocating. I could see the madness in his eyes.
Looking at him, anyone could tell he was insane. . He threw his head back and laughed loudly. His laughter echoed throughout the room. I felt a cold sweat break out across my forehead. Fear gripped my heart tightly.
I struggled to understand what was going on. Was this some sort of mistake? Who had brought this man here? Was this some sort of punishment? Had I annoyed someone so much that they would send an insane man to torment me?
It didn't take a genius to know that either Jackson or Gina were behind this. They were the only ones cruel enough to play this kind of prank. What did they hope to achieve with this exactly?
Taking a deep breath, , I asked "What are you doing here?" He grinned "I'm here to have a good time with you," My heart pounded in my chest.
"Go away!" I screamed at him "Get out of here!" He took a step closer, his grin widening.
"Oh, but I insist. We’re going to have so much fun," Fear spread through my body as I realized he had no intention of leaving.
I glanced towards the door, but he moved to block my path. I had to get out of here. I had to escape. This man was insane. He could literally hurt me.
I darted towards the other side of the room, hoping to find another way out, but he was quick, faster than I expected. He lunged at me, and I barely managed to avoid his grasp. His laughter grew louder, more frenzied.
"Stay away from me!" I cried, my voice breaking as tears streamed down my face.
But he didn't listen. He kept chasing me around the room with his hands reaching out to grab me. The smell of him, a mix of sweat and filth, made my stomach turn in disgust. I felt a wave of nausea wash over me, but I couldn't stop.
I had to keep running. I made another desperate attempt for the door, but he was there, blocking my way. I could feel the walls closing in on me. The room grew smaller with every passing second. My breaths came in ragged gasps. Tears streamed down from my face.
"Please," I begged "Please, leave me alone." He tilted his head "Why would I do that? The fun is just beginning."
I felt a sob rise in my throat. I didn't know what to do. I was trapped, with no way out. My mind was a jumbled mess, trying to come up with a plan, but every option seemed hopeless.
I backed away, pressing myself against the wall, as he approached slowly, savoring the moment. I could see the madness in his eyes. He was enjoying my fear, feeding off it.
"You're scared," he whispered "I like it when you're scared." I shook my head, my vision blurred by tears.
"Please," I whispered, "just go away." He didn't respond, just kept coming closer. I closed my eyes, praying for some miracle, some way out of this nightmare. The madman's laughter echoed in my ears as I ran around the room, trying to find a way out. My lungs and my legs burned with the effort of running.
Gina's eyes flashed with anger. "That’s the problem, Elise. You’ve always been the perfect one. The one everyone loved. While I was just the leftover. I hate you for it." Her words cut deeper than any knife could.
"What the hell do you mean?" I shrieked "If anyone is supposed to be saying that, it's me. You've always been the one our parents favored. You're basically the golden child. How could I be the perfect one?
According to everyone else, I never get anything right" "You considered yourself high and mighty because you were Luna. I could see how highly you thought of yourself. Well, look at you. You're not so proud now, are you?" I didn't understand her point.
I never acted with pride, even when I was Luna. I felt like the same old Elise that I always was.
"Gina, please," I begged, "just let me go." She shook her head, laughing again."Oh, no. I want you to enjoy yourself. Have fun with your new friend." With that, she turned and left, closing the door behind her.
I heard her lock the door. As soon as I realized the door was locked, I became more scared. Now, there was no escape.
I felt the man's hands on my legs. His touch made me flinch in irritation. I kicked out, trying to free myself, but his grip tightened. I ran towards the other side of the room in fear. My eyes scanned the room, searching for an escape.
"Stay away from me!" I screamed, but his laughter only grew louder.
