ELISA'S POV

I looked at the guard in disbelief. For a moment, I thought my ears were playing tricks on me.

"I beg your pardon?" I said. The words came out before I could stop them. That was how surprised I was.

"The Lycan King" the guard said "He wishes to see you. Kindly grant him his request"

Of course, I will grant him his request. He's royalty. And a part of me wanted to see him again.

As I left the ballroom, I felt a bit sad, wondering if I would ever see him. It seems like now, my dreams are coming true. I only wondered why he wanted to see me..

"Excuse me," I said "Where is he?"

"In his residence. Please, follow me" I got up and followed him out of the garden. He led me to a red luxurious sports car. I admired it.

The Lycan King had taste. I never expected less from him anyway. The guard opened the door for me. As soon as I got in, he closed the door then got in the front seat. As the car moved smoothly through the streets, my mind raced with questions.

Why did the Lycan King want to see me? What could he possibly want with me? I felt nervous and excited at the same time.

The thought of meeting the Lycan King again made me feel all warm inside. I couldn't place my finger on it but there was a connection between us. I could feel it.

Shortly, we arrived at the tall gates of the Lycan King’s residence. I remembered helping Jackson prepare a residence for his representative for the ball. We didn't know he would be joining us himself. The royal guard opened the car door for me, and I stepped out. I followed him as he led me inside.

"Right this way, Luna Elisa," the guard said. Luna Elisa? They've figured out who I was. This means King Ferris must have asked about me.

I followed him with my heart pounding in my chest. We entered a large room where HE was waiting. He stood by a window, looking outside with his arms folded behind his back. His presence was commanding, and the air seemed to be filled with his authority.

I bowed deeply, showing the respect he deserved. "Your Majesty," I said.

King Ferris turned to look at me. He stood tall, making me feel small in his presence. "Do you have anything to say to me, Luna Elisa?" he asked.

Ferris cleared his throat "You can stay in my villa if you want. There are many rooms available."

His offer was generous, and the thought of staying in such a place was tempting. But I knew it would only fuel rumors. I didn't want people to think I divorced Jackson because I had an affair with the Lycan King. The pack members loved to gossip and I didn't want to be the subject of attention. I had to think about my reputation and the dignity I wanted to maintain, even after my divorce.

"I appreciate your offer, Your Majesty, but I think it’s best if I return to my own house for now," I replied. "I don’t want any misunderstandings or rumors to start about me."

Ferris nodded. I could see the look of respect in his eyes. "I understand, Elisa. You have a reputation to keep. But know that my offer stands. If you ever need anything, my doors are always open to you."

"Thank you, Your Majesty," I said "I appreciate your kindness and support."

"You may leave. Please, let me know if you need anything" I bowed before him before leaving.

As I left his residence, I felt relieved. I didn't know what the future held but I knew that I had taken the first step towards turning my life around and finding my happiness.

To hell with Jackson and Gina. They deserved each other. The car ride back home felt different. I realized that I was no longer just Alpha Jackson’s wife or the Luna of his pack. I was Elisa, a woman ready to take control of her life again. And for some reason, the thought excited me.
