"I didn't mean that, Ned," Ingrid explained in panic. "I-I didn't know it was this serious for you too!"

"Just don't interfere and ask anything about this! If Fletcher Corporation can make it through safely, I won't pursue any further with Yates Group," Ned said. "But, if we can't make it through and fail to deliver our promise to VItality Biotech Group, I won't let any of the Yates go away with this."

Ned was about to start the car when his phone rang suddenly.

"Hello?" Ned picked up the phone.

It was unclear what the other person said, but Ned's expression immediately turned scrunched up. "Don't worry. Let me tell them. I'll handle it."

Ned hung up his phone, then quickly called his assistant, "Darren, contact the Yates family. Let them know they must let Eastern Pharmaceutical in by the afternoon.

"Tell them it is my order. Otherwise, we will pursue them for breaching the contract."

Ingrid was worried listening to the conversation. She saw Ned hang up the phone and asked softly, "What's wrong, Ned? Is there anything I can help you with?"

But before Ned could reply, Ingrid's phone rang. It was from Carmen.

Ingrid looked at Ned while picking up the phone. "Hello, Aunt Carmen?"

"Ingie, did you tell Ned? Why is Fletcher Corporation telling us to let Eastern Pharmaceutical take over our factory?" Carmen asked in confusion. "They said something about Eastern Pharmaceutical renting our factory or something.

"Don't tell me the Yates family has nothing to do with Vitality Biotech Group's project anymore? How could they do such a thing when your uncle is still in a coma?"

Ned's forehead creased. "What are you trying to say?"

"Ned, I don't wish to come to this point, considering we'll be a family once you marry Ingrid," Carmen said. "Please. This is the last time, and truly the final time. I'm asking you to save the Yates family. If you inject capital into Yates Group, it's a win-win for both of us.

"But if you don't, then we're both going down! I'll never let Eastern Pharmaceutical enter our factory. In the worst-case scenario, we'll delay the manufacture until the end of the month per the contract."

"When we broke the contract and filed for bankruptcy, you and Fletcher Corporation would file for bankruptcy, too! I'll let you decide what to do!" Carmen said sternly and hung up the phone.
