Zack often came to the shop, sometimes bringing a small cake, sometimes bringing some creative little trinkets he had found. In his eyes, I seemed to still be the little girl from our childhood.

When it was busy, he would help me greet customers and trim flower stems. That's when I discovered he knew so much about flowers.

We had more and more topics to talk about, and the smile on my face grew deeper day by day, until one day, Zack confessed to me: "Ava, I like you. I've liked you since we were kids. Will you be my girlfriend?"
