Liam finally returned.
Uncharacteristically, he brought me some breakfast and even bought some things he had previously refused to let me buy.
He handed me those "useless trinkets," trying to appease me.
"Olivia, I'm really sorry about last night."
"After I helped Aria deal with her ex-boyfriend situation, I found out my car had broken down, so. I had to make do with staying at a hotel for the night."

As he spoke, Liam's eyes flickered slightly, a telltale sign of his lying.

I pressed play.
An unbearable sound came from the voice recorder.
The voice was almost entirely Aria's.
