Andre stayed perfectly still, as if he needed her to know that even without her gorgeous hair, he loved her just the same.

Finally, Mia stomped her foot in exasperation. “Babe, why won’t you pull me up? If you don’t help me, I’m totally stuck here!”

A soft, indulgent smile crept across Andre’s face. He stood up, took her hand, gave a strong pull, and tumbled her onto the bed. Rolling over, he pinned her beneath him, his voice teasing: “Here’s your ladder—how about you down, me up?”

Let’s just say, Mia spent the whole night exactly where her husband wanted her…

After acing their exams, Molly and Mia made plans to head back to the Cedillo house to keep their dad company for a while.

Anya wanted to go home too, but she just couldn’t seem to drag herself out of bed.

Leo, after finally “defeating the big white bear,” slid right back in next to Anya.

They were supposed to go see the babies that weekend, but by noon, the two of them were still snuggled up under the covers, sound asleep.

Next door, someone was moving in, making quite a racket. Anya rolled over twice, then sat up, rubbing her eyes. “Chad, it’s so loud…”

Leo, completely naked, climbed out of bed, grabbed a T-shirt from the floor, threw it on, and stepped out for a minute.

When he came back, things were much quieter. He quietly shut the bedroom door, slipped back under the blanket, and scooped up his soft and squishy Ms. Anya. “The neighbors are moving. A little noise is unavoidable. I asked them to keep it down—they’ll be careful.”

Anya yawned. As soon as Leo tried to cuddle her, she half-heartedly pushed him away with her little arms.

“Come here, you.” Leo reached out, pulled her close, and lay flat on his back. There were two pillows, but he insisted on sharing one with Anya, their heads pressed together.

Held tight in his arms, Anya just gave up fighting him.

“Still sleepy?” Leo asked.

She quickly sent her their location. “Come join us! Your aunt, uncle, and sweet Henry are all here.”

The minute Anya heard the babies were there, lunch was forgotten. She grabbed a quick bite, dragged her boyfriend, and made a beeline for the zoo.

The sisters were still figuring out which section to start with when Henry, excited by his first visit, pointed somewhere with his chubby hand. “Daddy, I want a toy!”

Within five minutes, Henry was happily clutching a new toy. Andre picked one up for his nephew too. Wayne, looking at his uncle’s gift with his chubby cheeks puffed, seemed to be thinking—what is this?

Ten minutes later, Leo and Anya arrived.

“Babies!” Anya squealed, dropping Leo’s hand and running straight into her own little heaven.

“Everyone’s here, let’s get moving,” Mia said, map in hand. “We’ll start on the west side, make a loop, cross the bridge, and head out through the north gate.”
