It was Aimee’s turn to be curious. “Honestly, I’ve always wanted you guys to teach me—how do you end up getting invited to the police station for a cup of tea?”

Molly grinned. “Simple. Get into a fight.”

Aimee played along. “But what if the other person’s too scared of my power to call the cops?”

Mia shrugged. “Then just get into a fight incognito.”

Aimee’s mouth dropped open. “You all fight anonymously here? Is that a thing?”

Mia smirked. “If we didn’t, the entire Andre family would be international celebrities by now.”

Aimee’s eyes sparkled with excitement. “Honestly, I want to experience it. Take me with you next time, okay?”

Mia wrinkled her nose. “Better not. You’re our guest from far away. We can’t have you going home with a criminal record.”

Aimee laughed. “Why not? At least then I’d have proof I’d been here.”

Mia was the only one thinking clearly. “If you get a record, you’ll never make it through customs back home.”

Since Aimee was visiting as a tourist, any trouble with the law and the Eldoria border agents would probably hold her for weeks.

Aimee pouted. “Fine, scratch that.”

Molly grinned. “Mia, you’re the smart one here.”

So later, when Aimee suggested a trip to a local bar, Mia quickly played the ‘mom card’ and turned her down. She knew those places could get wild, and if something happened, Aimee might not get home anytime soon.

Just then, Henry, who’d stuffed himself full, called out for his aunt. “Mia!” He wiggled his sticky hands in the air. “Mommy, I’m done! Wipe my paws!”

Anya jumped up, grabbing a wet wipe. “Here, let Auntie help you.”

Molly shook her head. “He’s my own kid, but I still can’t figure him out.”

She cuddled him close, and he relaxed, face against her, already dreaming.

Aimee eyed her son. “How about you? Ah, who am I kidding? You’ll sleep whether I help or not.”

Sure enough, Jared settled into her arms and, without any coaxing from his scatterbrained mom, fell asleep all on his own.

Annie watched the three adorable, sleepy boys and sighed, a little envy in her eyes. “You’re all younger than me and already moms.”

Aimee grinned. “It’s not that hard—you just need a man.”

Mia caught Anya blushing and looking down, so she quickly changed the subject. “Anya, could you grab the little blankets from the bedroom? Let’s cover the boys so they stay cozy.”
