Just then, Anya’s phone rang. “Hey, Chad~”

Outside, Leo rolled down his window, letting one arm dangle out, a sly grin on his face. “Ready to head home?”

“Mhm, yes~” Anya hung up and left, glancing back at her dad and kid brother.

Before stepping out, she scooped up the three little ones, smothering each with extra kisses. “Big sis will come play with you after school tomorrow, alright? I’m off now!”

She headed out, spotting Leo’s car waiting at the curb.

Inside the car, Leo was still texting with one hand. “Chad, I’m here.”

“So, how did your aunt and cousin bail you out this time?”

“Huh? They were rescuing me?” Anya blinked, totally clueless.

Leo tossed her his phone. “See for yourself.”

She opened the chat—Molly’s message popped up: “Mission accomplished. You owe us two favors!”

“Chad, what were you up to this afternoon?” Anya asked.

Leo grinned. “Ms. Anya, I want you to meet a friend soon. When you do, help me spin a motivational weight loss story—he needs a little nudge to get moving.”

Anya nodded, already planning to look up some inspiring fitness stories to tell.

Leo asked, “How much do we have left in our account?”

Anya pulled out her phone and started counting, “One, ten, hundred, thousand, ten thousand…”

Leo watched his sweet but slightly scatterbrained girlfriend count, letting her finish without rushing.

“Chad, fifty-six thousand left!”

That night, the three little ones were tucked in together. Mia and Molly fussed over them.

“Go get some sleep, Molly. You’ve got work tomorrow—let me watch the kids,” Mia said.

“Mia, the Silent Ring finals are at the end of the month. You really going?” Molly whispered.

“I have to. Andre’s not home during the day anyway—I’ll just sneak out.”

“What if Andre finds out?” Molly asked.

Mia grinned. “He’s not the boss of The Silent Ring—how would he know? Don’t worry, I’ve got it all planned. We’ll just say I took the kids for a walk. You cover for me if he asks. He won’t catch on.”

Molly nodded. “Alright, deal. Sisterhood forever. But I wanna go too—what about these three little gremlins?”
