“Jade, aren’t you supposed to be at work right now?” Leo asked.

Molly grinned. “Boss isn’t around, so I’m calling the shots today. A little playing hooky now and then, I think I’ve earned that.”

The two of them chatted, eyes fixed on the woman throwing punches up on stage. Molly nudged him. “Tell me, if Andre saw how fierce Mia gets, do you think he’d still be head over heels for her?”

Leo shot her a look. “You kidding? Andre’s already seen her go full beast mode.”

“When was that?” Molly raised an eyebrow.

Leo paused, then just made something up. “Remember when Andre was after me? Mia was already on stage, throwing punches. He saw the whole show.”

Molly nodded, satisfied. “Fair enough.” She turned back to the ring. “Seriously, there are so many things a girl could get into—why boxing?”

Leo grinned. “You sound just like my granddad.”

Molly snorted. “I’m channeling my dad, actually.”

Chad came back carrying his son, while Henry stood in his usual corner, hands behind his back, stuck in time-out.

At eight, the two women finally made it back. Anya got ready to head out again.
