Chapter overview: Chapter 1424 from The Deadly Assassin Robin (Tristan Storm)
In this standout chapter of the Urban novel The Deadly Assassin Robin (Tristan Storm), Tristan Storm introduces new challenges, powerful emotions, and major plot progress that captivate readers from beginning to end.
The roaring armored vehicles plowed forward, crushing the lineup of gaudy, overpriced luxury cars as if they were tin cans. In an instant, the polished rides—symbols of excess and vanity—were reduced to twisted heaps of metal.
Drivers stumbled out, trembling, eyes wide with terror.
A parade of glamorous models, once lounging in the backseats, now bolted in all directions, their designer dresses disheveled.
A convoy of Maybachs, Rolls-Royces, Hummers, and Mercedes-Benzes—each a masterpiece of indulgence—had been flattened like toys beneath a boot.
In less than three minutes, over a dozen diplomatic limousines were nothing but scrap.
"Mr. Alvarado! My bag and my crystal heels were in there! I want him to pay for it!" A foreign model clung to Blaine's arm, sobbing and pointing at Robin.
Before Blaine could respond, a Veilthorn appeared in a blur beside the woman.
Whoosh!
A red fountain erupted. The six-foot model was sliced cleanly down to five feet three in an instant.
In the chilling silence outside the villa, the only sound was the eerie hiss of blood spurting like a fountain.
The other women—moments ago giggling and flirting—went dead silent, their faces pale.
They finally understood: the man they had depended on was good for nothing except sleazy backroom deals.
As sunlight glinted off his strong presence, Robin stood still—unmoving, unblinking. Blaine and Verda stared at him, swallowing their fear.
He didn't look human anymore. Robin looked like a beast wrapped in flesh.
A killer out of legend. The infamous Divine Drakebane—he wasn't just a rumor. He was real. And he was here.
Blaine took a deep, shaky breath. His lips quivered. "Verda, this ... this has gone way too far. Maybe ... maybe we really shouldn't have pushed him like this."
Verda was horrified. "But Dad, my boyfriend loves this place! I just thought it was a villa. We've requisitioned properties before—dozens of times—and no one ever fought back. How was I supposed to know Robin would be this violent?"
Blaine's expression twisted when he saw the lovesick look in his daughter's eyes. "Verda, which one of these guys is your boyfriend?"
Verda tearfully pointed to the battered man lying in the dirt. "Dad, it's him—Les! Look what they did to him! I can't take this humiliation! I've never—ever—been treated like this in my life!"
Blaine's face twisted in disbelief. "That guy? You picked up that piece of trash? And you expected me to go head-to-head with Mr. Drakebane over him? You'll be the death of me! He's broke and lazy—you couldn't find his worth with a magnifying glass—and you're sleeping and paying for him? Are you out of your mind?!
"If I had known it was for this scumbag, I'd never have gone along with your crazy stunt!"
Verda clutched his arm, crying harder. "But I love him ... he's ... he's good in bed. Dad, it's already come to this. Please help me and Les.
"I heard from my department ... countries like Autreynia, Tanqueria, Mecria, and Sakurania ... They're planning to kill Drakebane and take the superweapon system and that light-speed warship parked on Mount Geneva.
"They all know ... to get those two, Drakebane has to disappear from earth—permanently."
Blaine's brows furrowed. Her words struck a chord.
Then, turning toward Benny and the Ironleaf Security guards, he declared, "But those standing with weapons at my gate—kill them all. No exceptions.
"Everyone here today, no matter your title—if you've come, you've declared war on me. Attack!"
Four Veilthorns and a fleet of Golden Dragon Guard armored vehicles surged forward like a vengeful tide, ready to erase the guards in a brutal sweep.
Blaine and Verda watched in horror as the massacre unfolded before them.
A Draconian diplomat shouted, voice cracking with fear, "Drakebane! This is a massacre! You'll go down in history as a butcher!"
Robin adjusted his wolfskin gloves and calmly approached the fat and towering diplomat.
He grabbed him by the collar. "You all love to say, ‘Anyone who threatens Draconia must pay! Right? These clowns came to my doorstep with weapons. And now I'm the villain?
"Listen carefully. I killed them in self-defense. Cowards like you ... will be remembered in shame for a thousand years!"
Boom! With a thunderous crash, Robin slammed the diplomat's body to the ground.
Blood and brain matter painted the dirt in a sickening splatter.
"Too brutal! It's too much!" Blaine stammered, frantically dialing every number he had in his contacts.
On the other end, promises that riot police, special ops, diplomatic teams, and inspectors were already en route to Dawnspire Mountain.
