Chapter 791: The Hellfire

Along with the three earthly supernaturals, the angels reached a particular part of the Heaven realm that resided on one side of the massive Aramis Mountain.

They stopped at one of the peak’s surfaces, which had nothing ahead but an endless depth. There, a threatening whirlpool of powerful divine energy raged—so strong that it could destroy the soul of even the mightiest being in existence, whether deity or demon.

That magically shining whirlpool seemed to hold endless darkness in its depths; once pulled inside, it was impossible to escape.

Petra looked at Sierra. "I’m freeing you from these magical chains only so you can jump from that peak and vanish from here. I believe you never thought your end would come this way."

Sierra looked at her calmly and said, "What more can you do to me? Scare me with death? I’ve died several times before—because I was scared of it already. You’d better pray for your own lives, because you won’t be spared either." Sierra shrugged off the chains. Though she could now use her magic, she knew it was too weak to harm any of the angels. All she could hope for was that her death would alert the other deities and ruin Isis’s plan.

She looked at her daughter and Ember. "Be patient. They will come for you."

"Mother, please don’t..." Seren pleaded, her eyes teary. Then looked at Petra. "You can throw me into the Hollow instead of my mother. She’s weak and no threat to any of you...."

"Even if I throw you there, you won’t die because of that Hellfire," Petra countered. "And stop crying for your disgusting mother. She doesn’t deserve to exist. Her ugly presence is a stain on the beauty of this Heaven realm." With that, Petra signaled the other angels to drag Sierra toward the edge.

"Don’t call my mother ugly," Seren said, her expression filled with rage. "Don’t hurt her—or I might truly kill you....I said don’t...." She screamed her heart out.

No one listened to her, and she watched her mother being taken toward the edge of the cliff. The helplessness made Seren feel worse. It was the feeling she hated the most all her life—soon replaced by her anger.

"You wicked beings." She gritted her teeth, her breath heavy. Her fists clenched as her nerves tightened. Her purple eyes began to burn, like fire igniting within them.

Meanwhile, Ember was lost somewhere, as blurry memories from the past flashed in front of her eyes. This same place—a woman trapped in countless chains was being dragged toward the edge of the cliff by heavenly guards.

She was utterly enraged, as if all she wanted was to free herself from those chains, destroy the entire Heavenly realm, and then jump into the Celestial Hollow of her own will. Even with the core of her power taken away, she was so powerful that it took hundreds of heavenly guards to try and restrain her.

She was the most powerful deity in the Heaven realm—the Deity of Fire.

All the deities standing at the top of the cliffs above were looking down at her, waiting for her to be thrown into the Celestial Hollow. They looked as though they wouldn’t be able to breathe unless they saw her gone forever. Even without her complete core, she was more powerful than them—and that terrified them.

Her furious voice echoed like thunder. The sky above responded to her anger, flashing with threatening thunderbolts, as if ready to cast the entire Heaven realm into chaos.

"I swear, on my name... I will return even from the depths of this Hollow and destroy you all. My soul won’t perish until I fulfill it... I will return and destroy you all, wicked deities... I, Deity of Fire, swear my revenge..."

Unbeknownst to the two angry women, their chains loosened. Petra immediately stepped back, distancing herself from Seren and Ember, a light smirk playing on her lips.

"Don’t hurt my mother!" Seren screamed in fury.

"Throw her!"

A deity’s voice from the past matched Petra’s voice in the present.

’Not this time!’ Ember opened her emerald green eyes, blazing with rage. ’I refuse to die.’

The angels were about to push Sierra down the cliff when, in the next moment, a huge volcanic explosion erupted at the edge, taking all the angels by surprise and sending dangerous vibrations rippling across the Heaven realm.
