"I've already asked Grace to come over," Brandon said. "Let’s talk in the next room."

"I'll just dry my hair first."

Brandon tossed the towel into the laundry basket in the bathroom and headed for the living room.

Sophia instinctively followed, watching him as he began to blow-dry his hair.

Brandon's hair was thick and dark, taking a bit of effort to dry.

Sophia watched the strands slip through his long fingers, feeling a bit awkward just standing there. She hesitated, then offered, "Need some help?"

Brandon seemed a bit surprised by her offer. He glanced back at her, then nodded, "Sure."
