"I have a feeling that Annalise might even thank me if I decided to sabotage you," Eric said. He ignored Otis' and Yelena's scowls and left the room.

He glanced at the office behind him and texted Zane: "Annalise's father and half-sister are still here."

Zane replied: "Got it. Thanks."

Eric knew Zane would take care of Otis and Yelena, so he left Huxham Corporation to sort out the office for Annalise's business.

His phone chimed with a new message, and he checked the notification to see that Annalise had wired him nearly ten million dollars. He checked his savings. Years of scrimping had proven fruitful, for he had managed to save up tens of millions of dollars.

He bought the office above Sasha's with the money. After that, he took care of the business registration and put out hiring ads. When that was done, he began drafting the company's rules and regulations as well as internal policies.

Back at Huxham Corporation, Otis sneaked a look at the door to check if the coast was clear. Having made sure that Eric had gone, he turned to Yelena and asked, "Do we leave now?"

"Of course not!" Yelena snapped. "Do you know how hard it is to get into Huxham Corporation? It'd be a waste for me to leave now!"

"It's not like we'd be guaranteed an audience with Zane if we stayed," Otis argued, voicing his main concern.

"So why don't we seek him out instead?" Yelena suggested. Otis' eyes lit up at the idea, but she sensed his hesitation and carried on persuading him, "If we leave now, who knows when we'll get to step foot in here and meet Zane again?

"Think about it: if we look for him now, I might just seduce Zane and make him fall in love with me. He'd divorce Annalise and marry me. When that happens, you'll have me and Zane to back you up, seeing as you're my father."

Otis was just as baffled. "Perhaps our tricks are getting old. Zane probably saw us coming and deliberately had those security guards ward us off."

The father-daughter duo exchanged a look, equally puzzled by the turn of events.

Upon returning home, Jessica pulled up her online orders and found that the orders for her designer collectibles were hitting six figures. She had been perfectly content with the sales numbers of other merchandise, but it seemed the designer collectibles were faring better on the market.

She checked on the orders for her merchandise and realized they were increasing courtesy of the popularity of her designer collectibles. At this rate, she would make more money than any of the men she had tried so hard to please.
