Brian’s kiss was brief, almost perfunctory, making him and Jessica the first couple to take their seats at the dining table.

Keen to impress the investors, Raymond chose to overlook the fact that their kiss hadn’t met the required duration and presented them with a plate of grilled meat, diplomatically calling it a baseline reward.

Brian accepted it with a smile and passed it to Jessica without hesitation.

Not long after, Vanessa and Spencer ended their kiss as well.

Given their status as a couple in name only and both being conscious of maintaining their figures, they had little interest in food, let alone the reward.

If Brian hadn’t cut his kiss short out of concern for Jessica, Vanessa and Spencer might very

well have been the first to finish.

Raymond, maintaining fairness, brought them a plate as well, this time with a slightly larger portion, recognition for surpassing Brian’s group.

That left only two couples still locked in a standoff, Lillian’s and Sabrina’s.

The smell of grilled meat filled the air, making Lillian’s stomach growl. Unable to resist, she gave Chase a slight push, hinting that it was time to wrap things up.

The second–place reward couldn’t be that much worse. After all, she wasn’t asking for much.

To her surprise, her gesture only seemed to provoke Chase, who deepened the kiss with renewed intensity. Despite her many past experiences with him, even Lillian began to feel overwhelmed. Soon, she was struggling for breath.

She pushed against him with what strength she could muster, but it was hardly enough. With one firm pull, Chase held her locked in his arms.

Dizzy from hunger and short of breath, Lillian’s vision began to blur. When she realized he had no intention of stopping, frustration boiled over. She bit down hard on his lip.

Chase recoiled with a sharp breath, loosening his hold.

Lillian seized the moment, shoved him away, and wiped her mouth furiously. She shot him a glare, thoroughly unimpressed.

“Were you raised by wolves or something?” Chase groaned.

He glanced in Connor’s direction and, sure enough, saw him completely immersed in a kiss with Sabrina. The sight only worsened his mood.

Sabrina, hearing the commotion behind her, figured they had won. She tried to pull away.

But Connor, sensing it, cupped the back of her head and deepened the kiss, taking the lead.

As the dynamic shifted, Sabrina, never one to back down, instinctively tried to regain control.

Connor, however, held her firmly, refusing to let her move, his kiss growing even more

assertive.

Eventually, she gave in, her resistance fading, leaving him free to kiss her as he pleased.

The livestream chat howled with glee.

Connor, though tempted to continue, managed to rein himself in.

Just before Sabrina lost her temper, he pulled back, though he didn’t let go of her. Instead, he subtly turned his body to block the camera and guided her hand downward, just out of frame.

“Sweetheart,” he murmured, “you owe me tonight.”

Sabrina’s expression darkened. She was sorely tempted to slap him.

She couldn’t help but sigh. Young men really did lack self–restraint.

“Get lost.” Sabrina brushed him off and headed straight for the dining table.

Connor trailed after her, undeterred, wearing a grin that bordered on smug. As he passed Chase, he cast a glance his way just enough to gloat.

‘See? Told you I’d win,‘ he thought.

Chase’s fists tightened, joints audibly cracking.

“Alright, let it go. I’m starving,” Lillian said gently as she pried open his fingers, coaxing him like one might soothe a sulking child.

Chase turned his head, avoiding her gaze.

Lillian rolled her eyes.

She kept her thoughts to herself, but her hands moved quickly, picking up a piece of grilled meat and holding it near his lips.

She coaxed, “Come on, don’t let it ruin your mood. We’ve got plenty. More than Vanessa, even.”

They had held out long enough in the challenge to earn two more dishes than Vanessa’s group. While it was nowhere near the all–access prize Sabrina’s team had claimed, it was enough to satisfy their hunger.

Chase was hungry. And with Lillian personally feeding him, he hesitated only a moment before giving in.

As he finished chewing, he muttered, “We should’ve won.”

“All

my fault. Got it. Want some lamb?” Lillian didn’t wait for an answer. She brought another piece to his mouth, effectively silencing him with food.

Across the table, Connor watched with envy, then turned to Sabrina, who was casually selecting vegetables.

She caught his look. “What?” she said, annoyed. “If you’re hungry, eat.”

Still, she absentmindedly dropped two pieces of slightly overcooked beef into his bowl.

Connor stared at the meat, sighing inwardly. He really needed to stop expecting Sabrina to show any emotional tact.
