When Danielle arrived at the hotel, Harold was already waiting for her outside.

“We meet again,” he said, dressed in all black, his manner effortlessly charming as he reached for her suitcase without a second thought.

Danielle didn’t mind. Harold had always been a gentleman, so she didn’t read too much into it.

Pushing her suitcase along, Harold walked beside her toward the lobby and started outlining their plans. “I’ve arranged for a car to pick us up at 7 a.m. tomorrow. We’ll be surveying near Cliffside City Resort, and we might stay overnight there, so be sure to pack toiletries and a change of clothes.”

This business trip would last three days in total.

Danielle nodded. “Alright, I’ve got it.”

Harold paused, as if expecting her to say more, but she left it at that, ending the conversation.

They reached her room.

Danielle took her suitcase from him. “Thank you for coming out to meet me so late, Mr. Chapman.”

“It’s getting late—get some rest. I’ll see you in the morning,” Harold replied.

Then, in his usual polite manner, he asked, “Would you like to have breakfast together tomorrow?”

Since they’d be working as a team, it only made sense to start the day together.

Danielle smiled lightly and nodded. “Sure, let’s touch base in the morning. Breakfast here in Serenbury is supposed to be quite special—let me treat you.”

Harold raised an eyebrow in amusement. “I’ll look forward to it.”

Serenbury was a bustling tourist city, famous for its unique breakfast culture, and plenty of people came just for the experience.

After they finished eating, they got into the car and headed for the resort.
