Chapter 22
Charles noticed Theodore was in an unusually good mood. “Was that a big client?”
“Yeah”
Charles grew curious and pressed further, “How big of a client are we talking about, to make you this happy?”
Theodore replied casually, “If I win this case, I’ll go home and get married”
The entire room of lawyers stared at him in shock.
Theodore was notorious in their circle as a golden bachelor, someone allergic to romantic entanglements and entirely disconnected from emotional relationships.
Due to his profession, nobody–male or female–dared to play games with him. Those who tried always ended up in court or at the police station.
The meeting room buzzed with chatter. What kind of case or client could be significant enough to prompt Theodore Snapp to turn the page to a new chapter in his life?
Clara didn’t have to wait long before she received a call from August Hanson, the manager at BrightPeak Securities.
“I have 60 million to invest in the stock market,” she said calmly.
August was stunned “60 million? Then, Ms. Jones, you’ll need to visit our office to open an account in person.”
Elara brought Bambi with her to BrightPeak Securities. As they entered the building, Bambi looked around, wide–eyed with
curiosity.
August led them to a private VIP room, where he began setting up Elara’s account.
Meanwhile, Bambi observed the entire process, watching as Elara negotiated fiercely with August over commission rates. She had never seen her mother like this–sharp and commanding, even exuding a predator’s edge.
In the end. August offered Elara the lowest commission rate of his career.
“How do you plan to allocate your funds, Ms. Jones?”
Elara handed him a small note, and she said, “Please purchase these stocks for me tomorrow.”
August glanced at the note. Initially, he skimmed it casually–his mind automatically matched the codes with recent stock
performance charts.
Then, his expression shifted. “You’re planning to invest all 60 million into the market?”
“Yes.”
With no other investments in mind?”

“No”
August took a deep breath. “Let me warn you first–this market is terrible right now. A week from now, your 60 million might
shrink to less than ten ”
Elara smiled softly. “A week from now, these stocks are projected to rise by about 20%.”
August stared at her in disbelief. Then, he chuckled in exasperation, the kind one would give when speaking to someone too naive to argue with.

“Well, as long as you can handle losing that much money, Ms Jones, Just don’t hang yourself outside our building when it happens.”
I me a fat lamb to slaughter!
The moment Elara left, August immediately called Theodore “Mr. Snapp,
Before Theodore could respond, August continued, “That Ms. Jones you introduced is about to throw 60 million cash straight
into the stock market. Tell me that isn’t ridiculous!”
“She’s not ridiculous. You don’t know how brilliant she is,” Theodore corrected him instantly
“Of course, she’s made some foolish decisions in the past, but I won’t allow anyone to insult her.”
