Chapter 36
“Tsk.” Harvey set his phone down with a look of irritation. It seemed Elara was still playing games with him.
“Oh, come on! Don’t let Elara get to you!” Niamh threw an arm around Harvey’s neck and playfully patted his chest twice
He made no effort to push her away. Niamh then followed him back into the private lounge while clinging onto Harvey.
Inside, a group of elite heirs was deep in discussion about the stock market, excitedly talking about multiple stocks surging that day.
“I heard a little rumor–apparently, the Fisher family invested 60 million into BrightPeak Securities two days ago.”
These socialites had their ways of obtaining inside information. A transaction of that magnitude between Elara and BrightPeak Securities had not gone unnoticed.
All eyes quickly turned to Harvey. He hesitated for a moment, then dismissed it with a casual shrug, thinking Elara merely got beginner’s luck
“My wife just got lucky.”

Even he wondered if Elara had overheard some inside information while she was in his study. Otherwise, what gave guts to throw all that money into the stock market?
But the market’s fluctuations were temporary. Right now, she was only making paper profits. Whether she could turn that 60 million into real gains remained to be seen.
With her perspective, the same one that led her to become a cleaning lady…
The thought alone amused Harvey,
“As for me, I have the 60 million dollars, the properties, and stock options you gave me. I’ll live comfortably, so please, dear ex -husband, stop worrying about me.”
Elara’s voice echoed in his mind.
Did she really think everything she had now actually belonged to her?
Money, property, and stock options–he could take them all back if he wanted, even if they were under her name.
Someone cautiously probed, “I heard you two already finalized the divorce?”
Harvey’s expression darkened. “She’s just throwing a tantrum. It’s the seven–year itch. I gave her some money to go out and play–once she’s had her fun, she’ll come back.”
The crowd chuckled at this “Mr. Fisher really knows how to spoil his wife! You’ve got no limits!”
Niamh let out a loud sigh “Women are so dramatic! If I had such a great husband, I wouldn’t make a fuss. Ugh, enough about women–it’s annoying! Come on, let’s drink!”
She slammed her glass on the table and raised it for a toast. At that moment, Harvey’s phone rang again.
“Sir, Mr. Beau refuses to attend his enrichment classes. Also, he hasn’t completed his school assignments in days. The tutor tried to make him study, but he kicked them out.”
Mary had already called Ethel about the issue.
Ethel’s response to that was if Beau refused to attend his classes, then the teachers must have been the problem. She insisted on finding him new ones.
