Niamh flinched at the icy aura radiating from Harvey. She could see the murderous expression on his face.

"What happened? Did Elara say something to upset you again?"

Harvey clenched his jaw and spat out two words through gritted teeth. "Theodore! Snapp!"

Niamh was just as stunned.

"Hmm?" In the dead of night, Theodore's mocking laughter nearly burst Harvey's eardrums.

"You're in Elara's room?" Harvey's voice dropped several octaves.

Niamh's jaw fell open in shock, unable to utter a single word.

"We just got divorced this morning, and you're already spending the night with her at a hotel?"

At this moment, Harvey was like an enraged lion.

Theodore, on the other hand, spoke in an unhurried, relaxed tone. "Elara is staying in a hotel under my name. It's late—I couldn't possibly allow my guest to be disturbed. Besides…"

He paused deliberately. "Does getting divorced mean she's supposed to mourn you for a couple of years first?"

The sneer on Harvey's handsome face grew even colder. The veins on the back of his clenched fists bulged as he tightened his grip on his lap.

"Theodore, you've had your eye on Elara for a long time, haven't you? My child's birthday—when you flew back from abroad, sat on a plane for twelve hours, and rushed straight to the party—you were there for Elara, weren't you?"

Harvey started replaying every interaction he'd ever had with Theodore. Elara had always been there.

So, that was it? The scion of the Snapp family never intended to build a closer relationship with him. Theodore was simply using those moments to steal glances at Elara.

Harvey's chest tightened even more. "How shameless of you to covet another man's wife, Mr. Snapp!"

Theodore let out a low chuckle. "And what right do you have to accuse me?"

"Because she was my wife!"

"But betraying someone's true feelings… I think that's even worse."

Harvey froze in place. It felt as if an invisible hand had clutched his stomach with fingers digging in deep, leaving nothing but raw, bleeding pain.

Cold sweat broke out on his pale forehead.

"Mr. Fisher, have some decency. Let Elara get a good night's sleep." Then, Theodore hung up.

Harvey put his phone down.

Niamh couldn't hold back her questions. "Theodore Snapp is spending the night with Elara?"

Before Harvey could answer, Niamh had already worked herself up. "Elara just divorced you in the morning, and by night, she's already shacking up with Theodore in a hotel?"

As if something else had suddenly dawned on her, she gasped dramatically. "Bambi's with her too! What kind of example is she setting for her daughter?"

Harvey tossed his phone aside, looking drained. "I don't want to hear that name ever again."
