I was standing in front of my closet with a panic on my face,as I pushed hanger after hanger to the side.Blue Dress-No,White Jumpsuit-Definitely Not,Short Mini with a cute shirt-Surely not for a first date. Tonight I need to look amazing!! These options just won't do.

Ugh,This is hopeless!

Mason Knight was taking me on a date and I wanted to make sure I looked the part. There's been a lot of chaos in my apartment since he came by the other night,mostly on Carmen's end. The fact that I was getting another night with him,meant big things in Carmen's mind.

I'm the Exception to his Rule,so I figured I'd take advantage of that and have him take me out to dinner.Yet another exception made for me but he reluctantly agreed,although he was very frustrated in having to wait a couple of days.

I wanted to go out Saturday but Mason couldn't wait that long,so here I am on a Friday night getting ready for my Date instead of going out for Friday night drinks with the gang.Carmen had forgiven me immediately given who I was ditching her for,and Ethan was getting tipsy on the bottle of wine from my fridge.

"I have a Red dress."Carmen shouted, from her bedroom."It's new and it's never been worn. You should try it on."

"Ugh,Red again.Really?"I groaned. I'm really not a fan of red,

Carmen walked into my bedroom, holding the red dress on a hanger."He likes you in Red,so there's no better colour to choose in my opinion. He'll be begging for more."

I chuckled."This is just one more time, remember that. After tonight we go back to how we were before."As weird as that will be after seeing the man naked.

"Please.."She rolled her eyes."That guy had you once in Seattle and now he wants you again,Jamie. Mason Knight is coming back for more,Trust me on that!"

I think she is getting ahead of herself and thinking this thing with Mr Knight is going to turn into something it isn't. Yes,He might have made an exception for me. But that doesn't mean he's suddenly a one woman kind of man.

"Well I don't agree,But I will take that dress. Since he likes me in Red I might as well give him what he wants."I took the Red dress from her and walked into my bathroom to change.

I pulled the Red dress up my body, over the new matching underwear set that I had bought. I made the effort and bought a new set for him to take off,since it's our last night together.

"You just got a text."Carmen shouted, from the bedroom."There's two of them actually. Will I read them out to you?"

"Please!"It wasn't a big deal to me that Carmen was reading my messages,We know everything about each other. There's no secrets between us.

"So there's one from your Mr Knight, He said that he will have a driver come pick you up outside the apartment at Seven and don't be late."She chuckled. "He put the DON'T BE LATE part in capital bold lettering. The man knows you!!"

Late,I'm literally walking downstairs where he will have a car waiting for me. I wonder where he is taking me? Working alongside him the past two days has been difficult,there was a lot of sexual tension. We both knew what was going to happen on Friday night.

"Okay,What about the other?"I shouted.

"So the other message is from Ryan and he says..Babe,It's been two days and I need to see you. How about a quite night at my apartment? Please tell me you're up for it."

Oh No!!

I opened the door to the bathroom and walked into my bedroom,dressed in the hot Red dress that I was wearing to impress my fling. I looked at Carmen and remained quite,feeling the guilt after hearing the text aloud.

"Don't you dare!!"Carmen pointed her finger at me,got up from the bed and walked my way."Don't you dare talk yourself out of this because of Guilt."

"I'm not.."I lied,and turned towards my closet so she couldn't see the guilty look on my face.

She rolled her eyes."I know the look on guilt on your face,I know you! You don't need to feel bad about this,Ryan hadn't asked you to be a thing. You're single,there's no reason why you can't act like it.

"Single and ready to Mingle!"Ethan chuckled,from where he stood at my bedroom door holding a half drunk bottle of wine in his hand.

"And Mingle she will."Carmen joined in and chuckled."Have your schedule clear tomorrow because I'm sure he's going to wear and tare ya."

"Jesus Christ."I pulled the ankle straps of my black heels up."Should I bring a coat?"

"That's a stupid question,it's bloody snowing out."Ethan replied,before drinking another mouthful from the wine bottle."Hat and Coat,Maybe your Boots instead of those Heels."

"Definitely don't wear the boots,just dealing with the cold will be worth it to wear those heels."Carmen glanced down at her watch."It's getting late."

I crossed my bedroom towards my window and looked out,it had snowed a lot more since I got in from work just two hours earlier. Boots wouldn't go well with my dress,but at the same time I'm pretty sure if I wore a heel I would sink.

"I'm wearing the boots."I turned from the window and walked to my closet to grab my boots.My Dr Martens have only been wore a couple of times so they still looked like new.

"Safety before Style,that's a clever girl." Ethan looked me up and down,from my Red dress down to the boots that I was wearing."In my opinion, the boots look even better than the heels ever did."

"Hopefully Mason Knight will think so too."I glanced down at the time on my watch."Alright,I'm late. I should probably get going."

I slipped on my woollen Black coat that has a belt around the middle,and I was bundled up with a scarf around my neck and a ribbed black bobble hat with a faux fur pom pom.I was prepared for the weather,although only having to walk from my building to the waiting car.

"That's a lot of layers for him to get through,Good Luck to him!"Carmen pulled me closer to her,fixing the scarf around my neck."I want to give you a little advice for tonight."

"Let's get these off you,I want you to be comfortable."He lifted one of my legs up onto his lap and started to undo the laces of my boots and then moved onto the other.

I watched him with a grin."Are you trying to get me out of my clothes before dinner,because I don't remember that being the agreement that we made?"

"Just the boots for now. I would like to see you barefoot."He winked at me,and removed the boot and the fluffy sock from my foot."Perhaps later you can wear the boots-Just the boots."

"If you're lucky!"I guess the boots were a hit after all,now I'm barefoot and comfortable in his apartment.This is not at all how I imagined a date with Mason Knight.

Mason opened the door to his fully stocked fridge."Beer or wine?"He turned his head and look at me as he waited for a reply.

"Wine would be nice,Please."I had my eyes on him,watching his every movement as he filled up my wine glass. He placed it in front of me on the island."Thank You,Mr Knight."

He chuckled."I think you can call me Mason now,Jamie. You know,given the circumstances."

"Well I didn't want to call you Mason and get into trouble again."I was flirting with him,which wasn't usually something that I did. I don't even get flirty with Ryan and we've been out a couple of times.

Maybe it's because everything is on the table,I've seen his body and he's seen mine.We both know tonight involves sex."I'll call you Mason,Just for tonight."

"If that's what you want."He threw me a wink,and continued with the prep for dinner.

I didn't want to get into the habit of calling him Mason,it will just make things more complicated around the office."Mason,I don't want anyone to find out about this. Having casual sex isn't something I do."

He smirked,bringing the bottled beer to his lips and took a gulp full.He brought it back down and looked at me."Doesn't your boyfriend know?"

By my Boyfriend I assume that he means Ryan."Ryan and I have been on a couple of dates,but it's nothing more than that."

"It's going to turn into more than just that,Am I correct in saying so?"Mason braced his palms flat on the island between us when I didn't give him a reply."He doesn't know that you're here with me tonight,he's most likely not dating anyone else.It's obvious that's he's making more out of this thing between the two of you,than you are."

I don't have an answer to give him,I don't know what this thing with Ryan and I will turn into. I like him,I like spending time with him..But I'm here with my Boss in his apartment. My feelings are mixed.

I think I would have been happy dating Ryan,until Mason Knight decided that he wanted me. Now I'm confused,even though I know that this thing between us can't go any further than tonight.
