Esther causing trouble wasn't as big of a deal as upsetting the boss.

Pearl asked Holly, "What's happening?"

Holly gave a nervous smile and stumbled over her words. "Um... Mi... Miss Pearl, Esther... she bull…"

She struggled to say "bully" and was frustrated with herself for it. But she found it hard to talk in front of Pearl.

"Esther bullied you?"

Holly felt Pearl was being fair and nodded with relief.

"Yes. She threw my coffee on the floor and threatened me. You need to do something about this."

People can act very convincingly when they want to.

Pearl frowned and nodded. "Okay, I get it. Esther threatened you, right?"

"Yes!" Holly beamed at her, then shot Esther a triumphant look.

"If that's true, then Esther needs to be punished."

Leaving Pearl's company, the top in the entertainment industry, wasn't an option for Holly. She hadn't done anything wrong, so why should she be the one to go?

Annoyed, Holly said, "I think Esther is the problem here. If anyone should leave, it should be her, not me!"

Holly was frustrated. Was Esther allowed to do whatever she wanted just because she was Pearl's friend?

Pearl frowned and asked, "Who do you think brings in more profit for the company, you or Esther?"
