Between her pregnancy and Florence's rehabilitation schedule, the acupuncture sessions had largely been on hold.

Now that Sydney had recovered considerably and Florence's rehabilitation was progressing well, a few more consistent treatments should restore her to full health.

"Good. Have Peter take you." Julian gently drew her closer.

As the car pulled into the courtyard, she immediately spotted Diana seated beside the floor-to-ceiling window. She wore a cream cashmere sweater, her hair loosely pinned back, her head bent over a document. Her profile was refined and quietly striking. Even Sydney found her gaze lingering.

After handing her coat and treatment kit to a staff member, Sydney walked over. "Diana, you're home today?"

Diana turned. The coolness in her expression softened the moment she saw who it was. "Just finished a meeting. I came back to have lunch with Mom. No clinic this morning?"

"Nothing was scheduled, so I came early for her treatment." Sydney sat across from her. After a brief hesitation, she asked, "Diana, are you... doing all right?"
