"Ms. Hutton, I'm Mr. Kingston's secretary. He had a meeting this morning he couldn't get away from, so he asked me to pick you up first. He's waiting for you at the office."

"Thank you for coming." Diana turned to Nina. "Head to the district office first."

By the time the car pulled into the underground parking garage at the Jillson Group's headquarters, it was nearly noon.

Diana followed the secretary to the executive floor.

As the elevator doors opened, Hugo was just stepping out of the conference room. A freshly signed document rested in his hand. The moment he saw her, he crossed the floor in a few quick strides.

"Diana." He took the folder from her with practiced ease, a smile spreading across his face. "You're finally here."

As they spoke, he led her into his office.

The room was bright and spacious, with only a few documents scattered across the desk hinting at a busy morning.

Hugo didn't waste any time. He pulled out another document and got straight to business. "Diana, this is the contract legal drafted overnight. Take a look."

They spent nearly an hour going through it together.

"Good." Hugo glanced at the time. "It's about time for lunch. I booked a restaurant nearby."

"The meatballs here are excellent." Hugo handed her the menu. "See if there's anything else you'd like."
