Raymond promptly took it from him. "Don't worry. I'll make sure Alan is properly entertained on your behalf."

Laughter broke out around the table.

Alan waved a hand and laughed heartily. "Ray's right. Skip the drinking. I'm saving my toast for your wedding with Sydney."

Julian glanced at the woman beside him. She was biting into a honey-glazed rib with her head lowered, but the curve of her lips made it obvious that she was laughing.
