The more Lucinda listened, the more off it all sounded. She turned to Grace. “Grace, are you hiding something from me?”

Grace wanted so badly to tell her the truth, wanted to confess that Frank, that pathetic mess of a man, wasn’t her real father at all. But Night Eagle had made it clear. This was a sensitive time.
