The next day, when Jennifer returned from shopping, she saw a black Mercedes-Benz car parked in front of the dilapidated residential building. She frowned, and immediately guessed: It was him.

He walked up to the fourth floor. There were layers and layers of small advertisements stuck to the walls. The rusty old iron gate seemed to be almost completely eroded by time, leaving behind a mottled, empty shell.

A man in an expensive suit was standing in front of the iron gate.

After seeing Jennifer, the man opened his mouth wide, as though he wanted to say something, but did not know where to start.

Jennifer stared at the man for a long while before clearing her throat, "Come in and have a seat."

Jennifer took out the key to open the iron door, the clanging sound of the iron door was extremely ear-piercing, the man entered the room, looking at the simple and crude room, he felt unsatisfied.

"Emily, this is your father." Jennifer did not have any expression, she poured a cup of water and placed it in front of the man as she said this to Emily who had just came out of the room.

Seeing Franklin again, Emily's emotions were extremely complicated.

In her previous life, Franklin committed suicide because of her fault, but although Franklin didn't love her too much, he had never let her down in terms of money. In fact, the last person Franklin chatted with before he died was her. That was the first time he talked to her about his past with her mother.

Emily did not understand, that during the conversation, Franklin did not hide a single bit of his love for Jennifer, and in her previous life, only after knowing about Franklin committing suicide did Jennifer commit suicide. Why did two people in love like this come to this stage?

Was it a misunderstanding? Or was there some sort of conspiracy?

Thinking about it, Emily seemed to once again feel the pain of her right arm's bones being crushed by the wheel, a cold light flashed past her eyes.

She will never let this go easily. She swore before she died in her previous life that if she can be reborn, she will definitely make this bunch of scum die a horrible death.

Franklin thought that Emily was moved, and continued, "Not only Latymer School, if you are willing to return with me, I will pay your mother a sum of money in exchange for raising you to your current state."

"I don't want your money." Jennifer frowned and refused.

"Why are you so stubborn?" Franklin had a headache. Jennifer had not changed at all in all these years.

"Humph." Jennifer snorted coldly and did not reply.

"You ..." Franklin was a little helpless, just like seventeen years ago, he couldn't change her mind.

"Why not?" Emily curled her lips. She had already decided that she would return to the Smith Family. Not only would she need to go back, she would also do everything she could to make Jennifer return back to the Smith Family.
