Anna looked betrayed, and it felt like I had taken a hit to the gut. She and I had become close over the past few weeks, and I had come to care for her. She was a good friend by now, and I knew that she missed her best friend, and I was doing everything I could to bring her home, but there was no chance for them to meet until I succeeded.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" She raised her voice and stood up. She grabbed a pillow and tossed it at my head. I sighed and put it aside as I stayed seated, and just prepared for whatever she had coming. "She’s my best friend! Why the fuck can't I meet her? Why didn't you bring me with you?" I furrowed my brows and looked around the room.

"I don’t think you’d want to be present for that," I said, and turned my head.

Anna's face contorted in a grimace of disgust, and she stuck her tongue out.

"Ew, that’s gross! I mean, I could've been there to just say hi or give her a hug. I didn't have to stay for very long, just to see her," she slumped back down on the couch, and I wrapped my arm around her shoulders, her head coming to rest on my shoulder.

"I just miss her so much. We have to bring her home."

  "We will."

"How? I feel like there are so many people in this house alone that want to stop that from happening." I leaned back and looked at her.

  "What do you mean?"

"Sebastian, Danielle, both of them want something other than what we’re working towards."

  "Sebastian wants Layla,"

"Right, and Danielle wants you," she said, raising a brow. I smirked and nodded my head before leaning in.

"I’m going to tell you something that you will be the first in this house to know about." Her eyes lit up, and her eyebrows knitted. She was both excited and confused but leaned in, eager to hear what it was.

I whispered it in her ear, and she froze. Her whole body became stiff as a tree, and her jaw dropped to the floor. I stood up and fixed my shirt, a glum expression on my face, and my chest swelling with anticipation. I gestured for Anna to follow me.

"Come on, it’s time for everyone to be caught up to speed."

  ~Sebastian~

We got out of the shower. Danielle dragged her thumb over her lips, and her eyes held mine in a seductive gaze. She pressed her thumb between her lips, and her tongue circled it before pulling out.

I grabbed her waist and pulled her in against me. The towel was slipping down, and I ripped it away, baring her naked body. Her breast pressed against my chest, and her nipples were hardening.

My hand went down her lower back, and I grabbed her ass as I pressed her tighter against my body and felt myself getting hard all over again.

I had already fucked her three times, but I couldn't get enough, and it seemed that neither could she.

I could see Alpha Kade’s smug face in the back of my mind, and then the contortion when he found out that I fucked his ex before moving on to his girl.

"What’s on your mind?" She asked me in that sweet voice.

Her lips brushed against mine, and her hands explored the back of my neck before moving down my chest.

My dad wasn't happy that I missed the rest of the meeting the other day, and I hadn't been out of Danielle’s room since, so I knew I had to go see him.

"We can't leave at the same time!" Danielle squealed when I walked with her to the door.

"Fine, I'll go first, and then you’ll go in five minutes." I opened the door and looked back at her baffled face. I winked and threw her a kiss before closing the door and walking down the hallway. On the way down, I passed one of the warriors who stopped and looked down the hallway before back at me.

"Good morning," I said and continued walking, feeling smug. Seriously, what’s the worst thing that could happen if Kade found out I was sleeping with his ex? His feelings would be hurt, and he’d be taken down a peg or two, something I could see as an improvement.

"Sebastian," My dad growled when I stepped into the den.

I held my head down and smiled as I grabbed a drink and sat down on the couch opposite of him. Dimitri was there as well, reading a book. His eyes went over the lines of the text, and he didn't say a word or raise his head, but I knew he would be listening in. He always did.

"Where the hell have you been?" my father slammed his book shut and placed it beside himself on the couch.

"I’ve been acquainting myself with the pack members. You told me to make a good impression," I said, and my eyes flickered over the titles of the books that stood in a pile on the table next to me. "You have been absent, you missed the meeting, and have not said two more words to Alpha Kade since that repulsive comment you made to him in his office."

"I owe him nothing," I growled. My dad flew up on his feet. His hands reached out and grabbed my collar, lifting me up so I stood on my toes in front of him.

"You will not embarrass me, boy! You need him to trust you, so stop acting like a little brat and start taking responsibility!" I grabbed his hands, my nostrils flaring, and I clenched my teeth together. Dimitri raised his head and looked up from his book.

"If only Alpha Kade had been your son, Aldo, think of how much easier life would be. Having a son that shows respect and is deserving of the title he bears."
