"Take him away!" Blaine ordered coldly.

"Hold on!" Just as the enforcers were about to take Sebastian, a woman stepped forward.

"Oh, Ms. Lockhart! What guidance might you have for us today?" Blaine's demeanor shifted instantly, becoming sycophantic at the sight of the woman.

"It's her," Sebastian thought in surprise. He'd assumed that coming to a foreign place would mean knowing no one, yet within a short time, he'd run into Brody, Damir, Lila, and now Lydia.

"Lydia, I didn't expect you to be here too. What a coincidence!" Damir said, hurrying forward to greet her. Although Lydia was merely an apprentice while he was an elite disciple, Damir's face was filled with flattery.

Lydia was a beautiful young woman whose grandfather was the Sacred Ground's eleventh elder. Besides that, she held another title as the young heiress of the Skyward Chamber of Commerce, possessing vast wealth.

Lydia looked at him with a mocking expression. "If I hadn't happened to pass by, I wouldn't have known that you were bullying people, Mr. Sabalja."

Damir chuckled awkwardly. "Lydia, what do you mean by that?"

Turning to Blaine, Lydia continued, "I saw the whole thing. Damir was the one who insulted that gentleman first and even struck out at him. Yet here you are, ready to arrest someone based solely on Damir's word. What do you think would happen if the city lord found out?"

Blaine broke out in a cold sweat. "Ms. Lockhart, you misunderstand. I was only bringing them in to clarify the situation."

"With the facts plain as day, what is there left to clarify? Or are you planning to take him back for some 'unofficial punishment?'" Lydia asked with a meaningful look.

"Of course not! I've always upheld the law. Since Ms. Lockhart has come forth as a witness, I'll release him at once," Blaine stammered, ordering his men to let Sebastian go.

Damir seethed with anger. "Lydia, why are you siding with an outsider over me?"

"I didn't help you on purpose. I just can't stand those people, so there's no need to thank me," Lydia replied before walking into the Stone Guild herself.

Sebastian glanced at Finn and his group, then followed her inside, with Finn and the others trailing behind.

The Stone Guild was even larger than Sebastian had imagined. It was divided into multiple courtyards filled with rough stones, some weighing thousands of pounds and others the size of an egg.

However, the place wasn't crowded as these stones were the lowest quality. They were mostly pulled directly from mines and leftovers that others hadn't chosen. The guild also employed stone-betting experts to screen the stones, so the chance of finding spirit stones here was slim, and discovering treasures was nearly impossible.

Of course, the rough stones here were priced accordingly, ranging from a few dozen to a few thousand spirit stones.
