"Yes!" she said, her confidence growing.

Harrison found this amusing and was about to reply when Logan announced from the outer office that Ryan and Victor Lancaster had arrived.

The smile vanished from Harrison's lips. "Let them in," he ordered coolly.

He turned to Anastasia, his voice softening. "Ana, why don't you go into the lounge for a bit?"

"Okay." Anastasia obediently gathered her books and went into the adjoining lounge.

However, she didn't go back to her books. Instead, she left the door to the lounge cracked open, peeking outside.

Harrison glanced back and saw her, a flicker of amusement in his eyes, but he said nothing and turned away, pretending not to have noticed.
