Anastasia's eyes flickered. She picked up her silenced phone and saw that it was four in the morning. There was a missed call from Barnett and a message from him, and she immediately understood what was going on.

She wasn't flustered. "I understand. I'll be right down."

After dismissing the maid, she calmly changed her clothes and headed downstairs.

Before she even reached the first floor, she could hear Susan's sobs. As she descended further, she saw the ground floor was brightly lit. Nearly everyone in the Lancaster family was awake, filling the living room.

The old master sat with a grim face, Lady was frowning, and in the middle of it all, Susan was on the floor, cradling a blood-soaked Lennon and weeping hysterically.

"Anastasia—!" Crystal's shriek cut through the air, her eyes wide with terror and rage as she stared at her.

Anastasia paused for a moment before sweeping her gaze over the scene, her expression unchanged.

She didn't appear to be physically injured, but one look at her bloodshot eyes, her utterly exhausted face, and her jumpy, on-edge demeanor made it clear she'd been on the verge of a mental breakdown for the past few days.

As for Lennon, he was cradled in Susan's arms, the dried blood on his body shockingly conspicuous. A suspicious smell of urine emanated from him... which she could somehow smell even from this distance.

Barnett had arranged for doctors to monitor Lennon's condition, so he hadn't allowed his injuries to worsen.
