Ashley gently pulled Lillian toward the grand banquet hall, her hand warm and firm. She handed Lillian a delicate flute filled with sparkling champagne. “You’re still in school, right? Champagne’s fine for you,” she said with a playful smile.

Lillian accepted the glass, returning the smile with a calm ease. “Tonight’s a rare occasion to celebrate. Let’s not overthink it or get caught up in every little detail,” she replied softly, her voice steady and sincere.
