In the cozy lounge area, Foster had already spread out the assortment of takeout dishes across the table. The moment Lillian’s eyes landed on the plate piled with perfectly grilled steak, a warm, tender feeling blossomed in her chest. Her small hands instinctively reached out toward the food, eager and hungry, but the man beside her gently stopped her.

Lillian shot him a mischievous look, a silent protest in her gaze.

Sebastian met her eyes, his expression softening with a fond, indulgent smile. “Go wash your hands first,” he said kindly, “then you can dig in.”

Obediently, Lillian nodded and quickly made her way to the lounge area to clean up. Sebastian’s eyes lingered on her for a few seconds before drifting back to take in the room around him.

The office was understated yet elegant—not a hint of extravagance anywhere. The floors were polished black marble, contrasting sharply with the pristine white walls. A few simple framed prints hung with quiet dignity, and a towering bookshelf stood against one wall, filled with an array of books. The large desk was neat and uncluttered, and the floor-to-ceiling windows wrapped around the space, offering a breathtaking 360-degree view of the city skyline.

Sebastian’s mind wandered briefly to the contrast between this office and the homes of his relatives. At her age, most little girls were enchanted by pink, dolls, flowers, and frilly dresses. Yet Lillian’s world was painted in muted, somber tones. He had visited Solara’s office once, too—it was equally minimalist, dominated by black and white. The memories of the old master’s words flickered in his mind, sending a subtle chill through his gaze.

When Lillian returned from the lounge, she dropped down beside Sebastian without hesitation and began eating with a carefree appetite.

After a few moments, noticing Sebastian hadn’t touched a bite, she frowned in mild confusion. “Sebastian, don’t just sit there feeding me—why aren’t you eating too?”

Without looking up, Sebastian ladled a bowl of steaming soup and set it in front of her. “I already ate. Everything here is for you.”

Hearing that, Lillian’s restraint melted away, and she happily bit into a small rib, savoring the taste.

Once they finished, she stretched out with a contented sigh, sinking back into the couch cushions. “I think I’m turning into a pig. All I want to do after eating is lie down.”

“If you really turn into a pig,” Sebastian said, his voice low and magnetic, “I’d be even happier.”

Her innocent voice carried a playful curiosity. “So you like the little piggy type, huh?”

Leaning closer, his lips curled into a teasing smile as he whispered near her ear, “You know exactly what type I like.”

Sebastian acknowledged Wayne with a polite nod, recognizing him as one of Lillian’s most trusted associates.

Wayne took a seat opposite Lillian’s desk.

Without lifting her eyes from the paperwork, Lillian asked, “How are the artists we’ve signed doing lately?”

Instantly shifting into professional mode, Wayne responded, “They’re performing very well. The TV dramas we’ve invested in have received positive attention, and the actors’ roles are gaining significant visibility. Their popularity is steadily increasing.”

“Good,” Lillian said firmly. “I trust your judgment. For all artists under the Skyreach Group, I expect impeccable conduct. If I find out any of them cross the line, I won’t hesitate to sever ties. Also, Skyreach Jewels is about to launch. Keep a close watch on the talent pool and assist Ryan when it’s time to select a spokesperson.”
