Madam Tina’s heart swelled with emotion as she listened to her daughter’s words. For a moment, she felt as if she might collapse to her knees in gratitude before Lilian, but Lilian gently raised a hand to stop her.

“Ms. Lilian, thank you—thank you so very much,” Madam Tina stammered, her voice thick with emotion. “I can’t even begin to describe how I feel right now. Fifteen long years—fifteen years of living in constant fear, terrified that Rina might be taken from me at any moment. I’m so deeply grateful to you,” she added, tears streaming freely down her cheeks.

Lilian’s smile was soft and reassuring. “There’s no need for worry anymore, Madam Tina. Rina’s heart issues stemmed mainly from poor blood circulation over many years. I’ve cleared her arteries now, and with six months of ongoing treatment, she should be fully healthy. She’ll be by your side for a very long time to come.”

Madam Tina wiped her tears away, forcing a smile that was shaky but genuine. “You’re right, I shouldn’t be crying. I should be celebrating. My Rina is finally free from all that pain and suffering.”

Lilian reached into her bag and pulled out a small porcelain bottle, presenting it to Madam Tina with care. “This is a special medicine I prepared for her. It will help repair the damage her organs have endured over the years. One pill a day, no more. After she finishes this bottle, she should be completely recovered.”

Madam Tina accepted the bottle with reverence, nodding earnestly. “I understand. I’ll make sure she takes it every day without fail.”

Just then, Mr. Houston spoke warmly, “Ms. Lilian, if you don’t mind, please stay for dinner with us.”

“Absolutely! You must stay!” Rina chimed in enthusiastically, hopping off the bed and reaching for her shoes.

“Sweetheart, don’t get up just yet!” Madam Tina hurried over, steadying her daughter.

“Mom, I’m really okay. I feel better than I ever have before. You don’t need to worry anymore. I trust Lilian’s skills completely,” Rina assured her, bouncing lightly on her heels to prove her renewed energy.

Seeing her daughter so lively and full of spirit, Madam Tina finally relaxed and stepped back. Rina grabbed Lilian’s hand and pulled her toward the door. “You’re my savior now. There’s no way I’ll let you leave without sharing a proper meal with us.”

As they made their way down the stairs, the elders were already gathered below, waiting anxiously.

Rina ran ahead and wrapped her arms tightly around them. “Grandpa, Grandma—I’m okay! Really, I’m okay!”

The elders quickly examined her from head to toe, exchanging glances with Mr. Houston and Madam Tina, seeking confirmation in their eyes.

“Good. Lilian, sweetheart, could you possibly take a look at my daughter as well? I’ve always wondered if she can still have children. Maybe… just maybe, you could help her like you helped Rina.”

The moment the elder finished speaking, the others turned to Lilian with hopeful eyes.

Lilian reached out and gently checked Madam Tina’s pulse. After a brief pause, she spoke calmly, “Madam Tina, it appears you suffered an injury during childbirth with Rina, which likely affected your ability to conceive again.”

Madam Tina’s eyes widened in surprise. “That’s right. I was hurt when I gave birth to Rina. Since then, I’ve tried every treatment imaginable, but nothing worked. The doctors told me the chances of getting pregnant again were extremely low.”

“You’re not wrong—the chances are indeed very low,” Lilian replied kindly. “But low doesn’t mean impossible.”

Madam Tina’s hands clenched tightly in her lap, hope flickering in her eyes. “Lilian, do you really think there’s still a chance for me?”

Lilian reached into her backpack once more and handed her another small porcelain bottle. “This is the same medicine I gave Rina. It helps repair damaged organs, including the uterus. If you finish this bottle, you should be able to conceive.”
