Lilian glanced at the two girls before her, offering a weary smile that barely concealed her impatience. “Alright, that’s enough. Let’s drop the whole forum topic. Rina, what exactly did you want to talk to me about? Please don’t say it’s because of that ridiculous nonsense.”

Rina suddenly recalled her true purpose for coming and quickly shifted gears. “Oh, right! My grandpa asked me to invite you to a banquet at our house. He considers you a great benefactor to our family. He wanted to invite you himself, but I insisted on doing it personally. So, you absolutely have to come! I promised I’d make sure it happened.”

Lilian paused thoughtfully, weighing the invitation. With the Skyreach Group’s pharmaceutical project about to launch, this could be a valuable opportunity. She finally nodded in agreement.

Natalie’s eyes sparkled with excitement as she piped up, “Rina, can I come too?”

Without hesitation, Rina smiled warmly. “Of course! The more, the merrier.”

“How could you do this to me?” she demanded, her voice shaking with emotion. “I wanted to be your friend. How could you steal Jeremy from me? I gave so much for him—we grew up together! How could you just take him away like that?”

Her delicate features and tear-filled eyes immediately tugged at the sympathies of those gathered.

Several girls nearby chimed in with cold remarks.

“What’s wrong with you? Are you really that desperate to steal someone else’s boyfriend?”

Lilian studied the tearful girl standing before her—so earnest, so desperate—and a cold smirk curved at the corner of her mouth. “Are you Jeremy’s girlfriend?”

The question caught Yulia off guard, and her confident facade wavered.

“Mr. Goodman already sees me as his daughter-in-law. So yes, I am Jeremy’s girlfriend. And you really think he’d choose someone like you over me? You have nothing.”

A sharp glint flickered in Lilian’s eyes as she sneered, “Is that so? If you’re so certain, then why are you here, begging for attention? Do you honestly believe everyone wants your precious Jeremy? He’s not a pile of money. And you managed to spin an entire fantasy from a single photo—if you’re not studying screenwriting, you’re wasting your talent.”

She turned to Natalie, who stood silently beside her. “Shall we go? Do you really want to keep watching this little drama? Keep it up, and you might find yourself starring in it.”
