Andrew chuckled, then suddenly asked, “Elon, if I had to guess, you handed Fran over to one of the Golding family’s top enforcers, didn’t you?”
Elon didn’t deny it, his voice filled with arrogance. “You’re not as dumb as you look. Of course, I wouldn’t keep a hostage with me. Francesca is being guarded by one of our semi–martial kings. So, do you really think Donald the pig stands a chance?”
Kenny could not contain his impatience. “Elon, stop wasting time with him. Make him release Michael, or we kill Francesca!”

The author is insanely inconsistent with Christina's character. She was loyal enough to withstand torture until she fainted, and refused to call Andrew when she was kidnapped (even though it was out of a misplaced sense of protectiveness due to her lack of trust in him). This shows that despite her family being trash (other than Dougals), she is at least a good peson at heart. Then she suddenly turns into someone spiteful and evil simply because the author is no longer intersted in patching them back up, and has decided to set him up with Lauren and Fran. That's his choice, but at least be consistent....

Brilliant piece of work. I am enjoying the novel. The only problem is that it is taking longer to update more chapters....
