Unable to reach me, he sent a message in the pack’s network, but no one

responded. He slumped onto the settee, noticing that all the shared items I’d

purchased were gone.

He lay in bed, staring at the ceiling. Why…why had she left?

He kept telling himself that I’d return as long as he apologized.

He couldn’t sleep, constantly checking his phone. The next day, Suzie 

replied with a photograph. He excitedly clicked on it, only to freeze. It was a 

wedding photograph.

It was me, in a white dress, smiling at my mate, who was not him.

He was stunned. Another message appeared.

“Searching for Rosie? She is bonding with her mate next week in her 

territory. The mate is perfect for her!” 

Next week? He refused to believe it. He thought I was merely angered and 

waiting for his apology.

He tried to contact me again, but Suzie responded coldly, “What, you wish to

disrupt her union? Forget it! You do not deserve her. Depart!”

Three days before the bonding ceremony, I received a call. An unknown

number. I recognized Grant’s voice the instant I answered. I attempted to end

the call, but he prevented me.

“Rosie, please do not hang up… I understand I angered you. Tell me your 

location; I shall come to you.”

His voice was gentle, attempting to convince me that he was apologizing. Then, another voice rang out, “My love, who is calling? It has been some time.” 

That was like a thunderbolt to Grant. I replied, “No one. It is of no

consequence.” 

Grant felt his world ending. He heard nothing after that.

He recalled the number he’d seen on my phone. It was labeled “my mate.” 

Wanda claimed it was Rosie’s friend, but it turned out to be a male.

He was furious but helpless. He was blocked.

He didn’t agree to the breakup; how could I bond with another? 

He asked my friend for my address, and then his phone rang. It was Wanda.

He decided to see Wanda first. He still believed it wasn’t too late. Sadly, he
