Grant left, dejected. He remembered our first meeting. It was a full moon

night. I was holding a dying kitten, desperately seeking aid.

Finally, someone told me there was a late–night animal healer. I bumped 

into him as I rushed to that den. I kept apologizing, and he saw the dying kitten

in my arms. Understanding the situation, he joined me. 

Unfortunately, we failed to save that kitten. He offered me a tissue when I 

was crying,

Perhaps that was why I fell for him. Later, I kept asking him out, but he 

never agreed. I used every trick in the book, and finally, we were bonded.

However, his mentor’s health worsened. He knew that his mentor loved 

Wanda the most, so he took on the role of caring for Wanda. He never intended 

to betray me, but we still separated.

He’d been too confident; he thought I would never leave him. However, he 

was wrong.

When he realized it, it was too late. 

He left the den, his back frail and lonely. Wanda was waiting for him.
