I didn’t know much about Noah Blackwell, but like his father, he was a businessman, and I knew he ran a massive chunk of the Blackwell empire on his own. I knew at some point he would be the one to take over the company.

Gavin confessed to me that they had been friends as children but had grown apart as they aged. Then, after Gavin’s father stole the gem and the Blackwells went into deep hiding, Gavin and Noah’s connection was severed completely.

But to think that this man was using Daisy to do his dirty work made me feel sick to my stomach.

I couldn’t blame her, honestly; she must be living with so much pain all the time. “So, she found out pretty quickly that I was mated to Noah… that’s also when I found out that he was actually living with another woman, and that’s why I’ve been feeling the pain from his intimacy the last few days. He’s been sleeping with her, and then he told me that he planned to mate with her.
