A throbbing headache bloomed at her temples as she glared at him.

"Can you just leave it alone? Do you know how to do anything besides threaten people?"

Seeing her panic only made Cassius look more languid and innocent.

"Who's threatening you? I'm just planning a friendly set visit. Why are you so nervous?"

Yolanda didn't believe for a second that his visit would be "friendly."

She took a deep breath, realizing she would have to concede some ground if she wanted him off her back today.

"Fine," she nodded. "I promise I won't block your number anymore. But you have to promise not to show up on my set for attention. Deal?"

Cassius secretly loved the idea of crashing her set to mark his territory.

However, he knew how fierce Yolanda's temper was. Pushing her into a corner could easily backfire.

Knowing when to compromise, he pretended to mull it over before speaking.

"I'll stay away, but on two conditions."

Yolanda exhaled in slight relief. "Name them."

"One: keep your distance from Teddy. And you are forbidden from clarifying our relationship status to him."

Yolanda let out an impatient huff. "Why would I—"

Cassius scoffed coldly. "Are you telling me you actually have feelings for him?"

Why else would she be so desperate to defend herself to that rookie?

The mere thought that she might be crushing on Teddy—that she was trying to replace him with some soft pretty boy—filled Cassius's eyes with lethal rage.

He wanted to rip the kid apart.

"Of course not!" Yolanda blurted out. "He's just a friend to me."

Teddy was barely an adult. She wasn't sick enough to date a kid.

She wasn't trying to justify herself to Cassius; she was just terrified he would destroy Teddy's rising career out of petty jealousy.

The hostility in Cassius's eyes receded at her earnest explanation, until she added her next demand.
