"I am going somewhere. Don't worry, we will be okay. Please don't bother to message, call or email me. I will not respond to any of it. I will only communicate when you tell me that you are ready for divorce. Just tell me the papers you need from me to process it. Take care of yourself."
As soon as I hit the sent button, the flight attendant told me to switch off my phone. The plane is now taxing and preparing to take off. I did as I was told though I was hesitating because I wanted to know how Acwell would respond.
"This is it! Goodbye, Acwell!" I whispered to myself.
On the other hand, Acwell just arrived at the apartment drank. He was with Ace again, trying to drown his sadness, but he cannot talk about it. He was about to sleep when he received a message from Kamiah.
Acwell could not believe what he was reading. He thought that maybe because he was drunk so, he was seeing the words wrongly. So, he reread it. It talks about Kamiah leaving and divorce.
"What the hell are you talking about, Kamiah?" Acwell shouted from anger.
He replied to her message asking where she is and demands to talk to her. Kamiah did not respond nor even read the WhatsApp message he sent to her. He called her, but Kamiah's phone was switched off. Acwell sent her a voicemail shouting with anger.
"Where are you, Kamiah? What are you talking about leaving and divorce? Come back here this instant."
After an hour, Kamiah still ignored him. And Acwell just fell asleep on the bed as he was so drunk, but he managed to tell his boss that he will not be reporting for work the next day. He is determined to find his wife and son.
Acwell woke up almost 11:00 AM. He checked his phone, still nothing from Kamiah. He was so disappointed, but he just stood, went to the toilet, and took a shower.
While he was drinking his coffee, he reread Kamiah's message. Now that he was sober, he was still hoping that he misread her message to him. But no. She really did, said that they were leaving, and mentioned not to talk to her not unless it's about divorce.
Acwell closed his eyes as tears fell from his eyes. Kamiah had really got fed up with him. He had destroyed the beautiful family and marriage he has. He was thinking of what he will do now.
"I can't live without you," he whispered.
After a few minutes, he had the idea of acting as a friend and called the hotel that she was working with. He was hoping that by doing that, he might be able to talk to her.
"Hello, good morning! May I speak with Kamiah?" Acwell said.
"Oh, sorry, sir! Kamiah is no longer working with us. She resigned already, and her last day was two days ago," the operator said.
"Oh, I see. Well, thank you. I did not know that Kamiah resigned."
"Not a problem, sir! Is there anything else I can help you with?"
"That's great! How is she feeling?"
"She is doing well, now. She is eating and playing."
"Good."
"But why did you not come back to revisit her?"
"I am currently busy with a lot of things, Catrina. I cannot even go to work today."
"Oh, so you are not working? Can you visit her, then?"
"Not now, Catrina. As I said, I am busy with something important."
"For your wife and kid, again? How many days are you going to spend with them? What about Amara?"
