Jason hailed down a cab, gave his address and got in. He took a long intake of breath before letting it out slowly, he miss her, oh God he miss her. When he left home, he has left with the idea, out of sight out of mind, he thought it was going to work for him but he was wrong, so damn wrong. He miss her like never before, this past three years of his life was the worst, every single day he wish he could see her, could talk to her, even if it's in the littlest way possible, to touch her.

Everyday of his life was like hell, his new friends in school thought he was always moody and don't like socializing but the truth of the matter was that he had started missing his sister right in the plane and it has gone on like that for three years and four months, only heaven knows how he survived, each day he missed her more than the last and it tormented him. He had told himself that it's just because its the first time he is leaving her side, that he will cope, he can do it and that four years will pass by in the blink of an eye.

Even he is also surprised how he lasted for three years, he needs to give himself an award for being able to survive such torture and torment his heart and mind was giving him. He speaks with his mother almost everyday, his dad called once in a while but his sister? Well, he never let himself call her and sometimes he purposely miss her call, he had told himself that if he really wants to stop loving her then he must detach himself from her at least this four years of being away from home.

His mother invites him home almost every holiday to which he turns down with the excuse of lessening the expenses and that he will be back once he is through with his education. His mother fills him up with news about his sweet sister, she had graduated from high school this year, she had invited him but he turned her down, she also invited him to prom but he also rejected, saying he has upcoming exams and couldn't afford to miss it.

She was understanding but he also could sense the hurt in her voice when they said their goodbyes, he was hurt and had wanted to call her back immediately to say that he was coming but then he had stopped himself, what ever he was doing then, was for their own good and mostly hers, at least she won't be ridiculed that her brother is in love with her. She was accepted in University of Southern California and had already started school, she is near home and didn't have to travel like he did and he is really glad she chose a school near home.

He took another sigh with his eyes closed and his mind run wild. He had told his mother that he won't be coming home until next year when he finally graduates but now, look at him, he is on his way home to spend Thanksgiving with them, or more importantly, to see his sister, he fears he might not last another day if he doesn't see her.

The cab stopped in front of his home, he got down and paid the driver, he stood in front of the house that he has not seen in three years and heaved a long sigh, he miss his home. He picked up his bag and walked up the porch, he thought about just going inside after all it is his home but decided to ring the bell, which he did. He find himself wishing it will be his sister that will open the door, and couldn't help smiling when he think about the shock that will cover her face before surprise and how she was going to throw herself on him after.

He took a deep breath and waited, he could hear sound of approaching footsteps and stood still, the door open afterwards to reveal his mother who was on call. Jason found himself trying so hard to conceal the hurt in his eyes as Veronica's own lit up in surprise.

"I will call you back Anita" she said to the person on the phone before hanging up "Jason!" She shouted as she examined her son who she wouldn't have recognized if she wasn't his mother. He has grown extra feat tall, his blonde hair was brighter than ever and was styled to cover one part of his forehead, his blue eyes was brighter than the sky itself, his face showed all the content of a young man, his chiseled jaw having more bears than it did the last time she saw him, his shoulders broad, his chest way more muscular than it ever was before, the red polo he was putting on giving away all his biceps and his blue jean gave away his long legs, Veronica just can't believe that this is her son who has grown into such a fine man.

"Mom" he smiled a little awkwardly when he noticed how his mom was just studying his physic.

"My, my, my, Jason you look handsome!" Veronica couldn't help but exclaim.

Jason laughed then "I'm your son remember" he replied, even his voice has gained more base and deeper, sounding so low like a bedroom voice.

"Damn you are" Veronica admitted before giving him a hug "welcome home sweet. You didn't tell me you were coming."

"I wanted to surprise you" he said when she finally released him, she looked him up and down again and wowed in her mind, her son is really a hit with the girls, she thought before leading him inside "where is dad?"

"You know where he will be" she replied as they made their way up the stairs to his room "you are lucky Anna is found of cleaning your room every weekend, if not as you came unannounced, you would have slept in the couch while we take care of your room tomorrow."

"I guess I owe all thanks to my sister" he smiled.

"Oh yes you do" Veronica agreed "although she is still mad at you for missing her graduation."

Jason heaved a sigh "I guess I will make up for it now" he replied as she opened the door to his room. Jason wowed, the room was sparkling, you will never believe no one has slept in it for three years "wow."

"I told you" Veronica smiled as he dropped his bag on the bed. Jason looked around the room, it was like he never left, every thing was just where he always keep them, not a single one out of place and his favorite blanket was on the bed. Jason's heart was truly moved and he just want to give Anna a hug right now.

"Where is she?" He asked with affection in his voice which Veronica didn't miss, of course who wouldn't be touched by this? She thought.

"She went to get groceries, Thanksgiving is tomorrow you know" she smiled and Jason nodded "well, settle down and make yourself at home after all, this is your home. I need to finish my call with Anita, when Anna comes back, dinner will be ready" she was walking to the door as she was saying, she turned to look at him when she reached the door "I'm happy you came home son, at least the family is going to be complete this time."

"I'm happy I did too mom" he smiled back at her before she left the room. Jason slumped on his bed with his mind in disarray and his heart thumping really hard that he could hear it, just why is his sister like this? Why is she making it hard to fall out of love with her? He got up and unpacked his bag before going downstairs to sit with his mother.

"So how has life been with Anna?" He asked his mom.

"Well, she has been living as she has been living" was her answer and Jason chuckled, that was not what he wanted to hear.

Kiss me then, Anna wanted to say but just can't, their mom is still there "alright you two cut it out" Veronica interjected "what where you saying dear about going to shopping a day before Thanksgiving?"

Anna walked closer to them then and cursed, she dropped the bags on the table "can you believe it? A man actually pushed me out of the line, claiming he came first. In fact, I literally experienced that with five extra people, I mean where were they that they have to leave their so called line? One of them actually asked for my number when I was leaving, that was because I actually challenged the fifth one when he came to do his" she rolled her eyes before sitting down and Jason did too.

"So, you gave it to him?" He asked.

"What?" She asked before remembering what she just said "why should I? I actually told him to fuck off" she rolled her eyes again.

"It's expected dear, everywhere is busy" Veronica cooed her.

"If it's like this now, then how is going to be in Christmas?" Anna asked.

"Worse" Veronica and Jason said in jinx.

"Why are you back?" She asked Jason "thought you said you won't be coming home till next year?"

"Don't you miss me?" He asked with a raised eyebrow and she withdrew her gaze, he looked so damn hot, why is he much handsomer now? She thought.

"Alright you two, you can continue later on, it's time for dinner and your dad will be back soon, you know how he is" Veronica commented getting up.

"Why haven't you made dinner? I haven't eaten anything since twelve pm, can someone please pity me?" Jason mimicked Samuel's voice and words, deriving a laughing fit from his mother and sister. Thanksgiving is really going to be so much fun this year, they all thought.

Samuel returned later in the day and like everybody else, he was shocked to see Jason but it was only for a while and both of them actually had a beer contest after dinner. Jason seeing his father was already drunk and he was still quite sober decided to pity his old man, he helped him to his room where his mother was already asleep before going into his. He had a long shower before settling in his bed, it's really good to be home, he thought before his mind wandered off to think of his sister's new appearance, damn she is hot.
