Bennett held her on his lap but made no further moves. He simply reached out and gently placed his hand on her forehead.

Yvonne's forehead was cool to the touch; the fever had completely broken.

Her dark eyes sparkled as she looked at him, though her face still held a trace of sickliness.

“The fever's gone. Are you still feeling unwell?” Bennett asked softly.

Yvonne shook her head. “I’m not unwell, just a little weak.”

“Right. You’ll be fine after a few days of rest,” Bennett said, then lifted her back onto the bed.

The doctor came for his morning rounds and then informed them they could be discharged today.

Sandra only found out Yvonne was sick right before she was about to be discharged.

Sandra was abroad filming a variety show with a new actor from her company and couldn't rush back. She could only call and remind Yvonne to take good care of herself.

When Yvonne told her that Bennett was looking after her, Sandra was relieved.

Yvonne had one more IV drip in the morning. After it was finished, Bennett handled the discharge paperwork for her.

Yvonne changed out of her hospital gown, wrapped herself in a thick, long down jacket, and left the hospital with Bennett.

As they stepped out of the hospital entrance, they discovered that fine snowflakes were drifting down from the sky.

A light layer of white already covered the ground.

Bennett put his arm around Yvonne, frowning instinctively. He regretted not bringing the car over first.

“Wait here for a moment. I’ll go get the car,” Bennett said.

The car was parked in the lot across from the hospital, which was a bit of a walk. With the wind and snow outside now, Yvonne could easily catch a chill again.

“What are you looking at? It’s freezing out here. Hurry up and get inside instead of daydreaming,” Mrs. Walker said as she also got out of the car.

She was only wearing an elegant and stylish cashmere coat and shivered uncontrollably from the cold. She took Yolanda's arm, and they walked quickly into the hospital.

Yolanda had an appointment in the internal medicine department.

Previously, her treatments were all handled at the Rogers family's hospital, where the best medical resources were practically at her service. After the fall of the Rogers family, Yolanda had to change doctors.

Although her new doctor was also a top specialist in the country and was very attentive to her as the young lady of the Walker family, Yolanda always felt something was missing.

Yolanda underwent a comprehensive physical examination as scheduled by her doctor.

It was a routine check-up, once a year. After all, she was living with someone else's kidney, and there were always some rejection issues that required regular medication and check-ups.

“Ms. Walker’s current physical condition is good. Her kidney function is also very healthy. However, Ms. Walker is no longer young, and as she ages, her kidney function will inevitably decline. If Ms. Walker has plans for marriage and children, it is best to do so soon, while the kidney can still handle it.”
