“Trying to get me to make a mistake, are you? Stop overthinking and get some rest.” Bennett lightly tapped the tip of her nose, then stood up and went straight into the bathroom.
Yvonne fell back onto the bed, feeling tired. Listening to the sound of the running water from the bathroom, she quickly drifted off to sleep.
The next day, Yvonne woke up earlier than usual. After breakfast, Bennett drove her to school.
Yvonne rarely went to campus anymore, but she still had to show up for exams.
Most students at the film academy were like that—if they landed a role, they'd go shoot, only returning for exams.
Yvonne wore dark jeans, a beige knit sweater, and a coffee-colored trench coat, along with a face mask. Since she was going to school, she dressed quite modestly.
But all of Yvonne's clothes were now bought for her by Bennett, and every single piece was from a luxury brand.
“There are always paparazzi near the school. What if we get photographed with you dropping me off?” Yvonne asked from the passenger seat as Bennett helped her with her seatbelt.
“I'm heading back to the base, so it's on my way. Don't worry, I won't get out of the car,” Bennett said, turning the steering wheel.
They hit the morning rush hour and were stuck in traffic for a bit, but they made it to Istra Film Academy just in time.
Bennett was heading straight to the base, so he was already in his military uniform and didn't get out of the car.
Yvonne stood on the steps at the school entrance, waving goodbye to him. As she watched his car drive away and was about to head inside, she saw a black car pull up to the gate.
Inside the car,
After a passionate kiss with Mr. Ward, Luna touched up her lipstick before pushing the door open and getting out.
The two ran into each other at the school gate. Luna was heavily made up, wearing an expensive gown and looking ostentatiously wealthy.
Luna went back to her spot and sat at her mirror, touching up her makeup. Hearing Tina's words, she couldn't help but let out a cold sneer.
“So what if you fail? Is it really that big of a deal?”
“You only get one chance to retake it. If you don't pass then, you won't get your degree,” Tina said.
“No one cares about a diploma as long as you make it big.” Luna finished her makeup and tossed her lipstick back into her Hermès bag.
“Having a sugar daddy really changes things, huh?” Tina muttered, disgusted by her smug attitude. She snorted and went back to her own bed.
Yvonne was flipping through her notes when her phone, lying beside her, suddenly rang.
She picked up her phone with one hand, glanced at the screen, and answered.
