Hearing the voice, Yvonne frowned and tapped Dr. Sewell's head. “Well? Answer her. Tell Mrs. Walker everything's fine.”
Yvonne was holding the sharp scalpel that the surgeon had just been inspecting, pressing it against the artery in Dr. Sewell's neck.
Dr. Sewell broke out in a cold sweat and stammered, “N-nothing's wrong. The surgery has begun.”
Hearing Dr. Sewell's voice, Mrs. Walker finally relaxed. She continued to wait patiently outside the OR, praying that Yolanda's surgery would be as successful as the last two, and that Yolanda would regain her health.
Unfortunately, her prayers were not heard.
Mrs. Walker didn't get to see the end of the surgery. Instead, she was met by Bennett, who had arrived with a team of investigators.
“Mrs. Walker, you are under arrest for attempted murder and illegal organ trafficking,” the lead investigator said, walking up to her and snapping handcuffs on her wrists.
Mrs. Walker stared at the cold metal on her wrists, completely dazed.
“On what grounds are you arresting me? Do you know who I am? I'm Vincent's wife! My husband won't let you get away with this.”
Even as she was being arrested, Mrs. Walker continued to shout threats.
“Mr. Walker can barely save himself, Mrs. Walker. You'd best worry about your own fate.”
With that, the investigators took Mrs. Walker, her bodyguards, and all the doctors and nurses involved in the surgery into custody.
Meanwhile, Bennett carried Yvonne out of the hospital.
Bennett's car was parked at the main entrance of the county hospital, alongside the investigators' vehicles.
