I woke up, my eyes blinking blearily, trying to focus onto something other than the glaring sunlight. I smiled at the thought that Dakota and I were finally one.
I turned to look behind me, my smile turning into a frown at the empty space next to me. Where the fuck had he gone?
I struggled to sit up, ignoring the searing pain down there. I swung my legs off the edge of the bed, standing up wearily. I picked up his shirt on the floor, slipping into it quickly, trying to ignore the smell of his musky scent all over it.
"Dakota, where are y-?" I cut off myself when I walked straight out of the room ,noticing that I was in the West Wing, and seeing Dakota and Maria's locked lips.
My mouth fell open as Dakota pulled away, his eyes begging me to listen. My eyes filled with tears, we just mated a few hours ago, and yet here we were.
"Alessandra, this isn't what it looks like!" Dakota said, stepping towards me.
I ignored him, closing my eyes and shaking my head. I just wanted to forget what I just saw.
"I hate you." I whispered, trying to control my tears but failing as I felt one trail down my cheek.
"No baby, you don't. She came onto me." Dakota said, grabbing onto my arms and trying to make me feel better.
"That may be true, but you didn't even try to push her away, you kissed her back, you fucking jerk!" I screamed out, my sadness disappearing into anger.
Just as I pushed him away, I felt power surge through me and soon Dakota was flying back away from me, crashing into the wall opposite me.
I heard Maria scream as Dakota struggled to sit up, wiping away the blood from his nose, whilst staring at me in shock.
"I'm so sorry. Oh my god, I have to go." I said, now crying once again.
What was happening to me?
I didn't stop as I ran out, pushing Maria out of the way and just running. I didn't stop when Dakota shouted out my name and I didn't even stop when I pushed other pack members out of my way.
I didn't stop as I shifted quickly, running straight into the woods.
I heard thunder rumble above me but I ignored it, ignoring the pelting rain too. The wind was howling heavily, and I dodged a falling tree, hearing it fall behind me just as I ran past it.
This is all my fault. Why didn't I just listen to my dad!
Ha, Maria didn't see what I did, but I knew that Dakota definitely realised.
"Well he did deserve it, should've pushed Maria too."
"Yeah, you should've." Robyn echoed, a sad smile in her lips.
"What's wrong? It seems like you hate Maria too. Why do you hang around with her?"
"Believe it or not, but I actually used to be quite fat and Maria hated me. I finally slimmed down a few years back, and suddenly I was her best friend again. And plus, she's really cool and have me makeup tips. Well, she was really cool." Robyn said.
"Wow. I'm sure you'll look even nicer when you ditch that bitch and stop wearing so much makeup." I told her, laughing.
"Yeah." She said, laughing along with me but still showing sadness in her eyes.
"I sense that there's another reason for your bitterness and sadness." I rose an eyebrow.
"It's Xavier. You don't know this, but we're mates. And I kept on rejecting him, not properly, but I did keep ignoring him, going out with other guys. And now he's with Clara, a stupid servant." She spat out.
