Milka rarely lost her temper. In Mars's memory, she had always been a quiet, gentle girl. She never yelled; even when she was angry, she'd just frown and scold him mildly.

"Director Glenn, once you throw your dignity away, it's hard to get it back. Try being less of an opportunist. If a manager can't command the respect of his team, you're destined to fail.

Aria could do a better job in your position than you. You've been here a long time, so you have experience, but you've also become slick and insincere, operating purely on calculation and greed."

"Milka, don't cross the line!"

Milka continued crossing it. "Director Glenn, you aren't getting any younger, and you've missed the window for your gold-digger dreams. You certainly don't have the looks to be a social climber either.

I was going to let you save face, but you've continuously caused trouble for me. My husband wanted to come here and settle the score himself, but I told him it wasn't necessary. You simply aren't worth the effort!"

Glenn ground his teeth in pure hatred. Milka had completely humiliated him in front of everyone. For a split second, he genuinely wanted to strangle her, until suddenly, a striking, commanding man appeared. "Try touching my wife and see what happens."

Milka turned her head and immediately smiled as the handsome man strode toward her. "You're here?"

Mars hated wearing stiff, formal suits. Whenever he saw Andre dressed immaculately, he'd ask, "Andre, aren't you uncomfortable?"

But there was no denying that a man in a tailored suit, standing tall with perfect posture, possessed an off-the-charts charisma. Mars was naturally rugged, a young commander forged in the military and the youngest officer of his rank. His sheer presence was overpowering.

Standing next to Glenn, there was zero comparison. His aura completely dominated the room.

Milka casually dropped one last remark as she walked past Glenn. "I'm not as despicable as you. I just stated some facts to repay the favor."

With that, she joined her husband by the elevator.

Having finally vented her frustrations, Milka felt surprisingly light as she walked away from the company.

"Should we call Andre out tonight and hit Majestic Dining Enclave? Let's have the emperor of the business world celebrate my wife's glorious resignation. Plus, you probably want to see our little troublemaker of a godson," Mars suggested.

Milka linked her arm through his, happy to let him carry the heavy box while she just held her purse. She smiled. "Let's do it another day. Your friends are all coming to see you off in a couple of days anyway; we can gather then. I'll have plenty of free time now, so I can plan a casual meet-up with Mia. Our godson has school, so he probably won't have time."
