Hearing those harsh words, Andre immediately turned to check on his wife and son. "Mia, take the baby upstairs to rest for a bit."

Mia knew her husband didn't want her listening to these messy affairs and complicated relationships. She stood up and picked up her son. "Annie, Milka, let's go upstairs."

Annie also knew when to step away. The dangerous underworld her husband operated in was not something she could interfere with.

Milka was equally smart. She knew whatever she needed to know, Mars would tell her later.

Once upstairs, the little tiger, having eaten and drank his fill, let out a big yawn, slumped his face against his mother's chest, and fell fast asleep.

Milka was reminding Mia about Anya's situation. "She has a coworker who isn't very nice. I'm worried she might pick on Anya."

By the time it hit eleven, the brothers hauled Asher's massive frame back to his room. Teddy took one look and said, "I'll keep an eye on him tonight. Those of you with wives and kids, head home early and cuddle up with your families."

Conner shrugged. "I'm crashing here tonight."

Mars chimed in, "I don't feel like leaving either. I'll stay close to you guys tonight, consider it me fulfilling my friendship duties."

Andre added, "I'm not leaving tonight either."

Everyone stared at him. "Your house isn't even here, and you're staying in a hotel?"

Andre stated the obvious, "I drank. I can't drive."

"What about your wife? What about your driver?"

When it came to his wife, Andre trailed off. "Mia's driving skills..." Even Andre couldn't find the right words to describe it.

Seeing how hard it was for Andre to explain, they nodded. "Got it. Say no more."

Later, after everyone had checked in with their better halves, Teddy stared at the guy snoring on the bed, cursing loudly in his sleep. "Take over his turf for me."

While she was brushing her teeth, Mia deliberately chased her son around, playfully scaring him.

Andre sat on the sofa, peeling boiled eggs for the two of them. Henry had just taken a bite of bacon, his little mouth chewing vigorously as his short legs scurried away, desperately trying not to get caught and spanked.

"Dad, move over."

Andre scooted back a bit, clearing a path between the coffee table and the sofa so his son could make a clean getaway.

Next came Mia, still brushing her teeth like an overgrown child. "Honey, move over for me too."

Andre continued to make way for the mother-son duo, letting them chase and roughhouse right in front of him.

These morning antics were a regular occurrence. Andre was entirely used to it. Once he finished peeling the eggs, he simply announced, "Three-minute truce. Mia, Henry, come eat your eggs."
