"Anya, sorry you had to see that mess."

Anya shook her head. "I'm glad you trust me enough to show me the real you, Janice. I also feel terrible that you ran into such a massive jerk."

"Yeah, a jerk." Janice stared at her steering wheel. "This car probably doesn't even belong to me anymore."

She added, "Anya, you need to learn how to spot a jerk. No matter how good your relationship is with your boyfriend, don't just blindly hand everything over to him. Don't be foolishly in love, and don't end up in a pathetic state like me."

Anya replied, "But when you first got married, you didn't know he was like this. My boyfriend always calls me foolishly in love, but he gives me his money and everything he owns to manage. Honestly, I think Leo is even more foolishly in love than I am."

Janice sighed. "Come with me to the bank. I need to freeze all the assets under my name."

Seeing her helpless boss, Anya didn't even know how to comfort her.

Leaving the bank, Anya watched a furious Janice slam her fists onto the steering wheel. She angrily declared she was going to call the man and confront him, asking if he wanted to burn it all down together.

Seeing that Janice was furious and irrational, Anya quickly grabbed her hand and snatched away her phone. "Janice, let's go find a lawyer!" Anya's shout snapped the rage-filled Janice back to her senses.

If she made that call now, they would lay all their cards on the table and completely tear each other apart. If that happened, getting the money back would be even harder.

Looking at the irate and irrational Janice, Anya said, "You might be out of ideas, Janice, but a lawyer will know what to do. They can help minimize your risks. Don't do anything impulsive. Let's hear what a lawyer has to say first."

Janice calmed down in the car for a few minutes. Holding her phone, she had no idea where to even find a lawyer.

Anya piped up, "My aunt is a grad student at law school!"

Janice looked at Anya, a glimmer of hope returning.
