I slightly froze at his question. It took me a second to realize he was talking about the hickey Alexander gave me the other night.

I moved my head away from Marcus' grip and slowly stepped back. I straight away noticed I only had a few seconds to answer him. If I took to long then he'd figure out I was lying.

Before the panic I was feeling could be plastered onto my face I let a lazy smile slip onto my lips as I rolled my eyes.

"A hickey? No. A burn actually," I lied and rubbed my neck and pretended to shudder as if I was remembering the pain.

"Burn?" Marcus repeated suspiciously.

I had to fight off the urge to roll my eyes. What was it to him if I had a damn hickey? If we weren't under these circumstances and I wasn't acting, this would've ending messily.

"Yes a burn?" I said in fake confusion then tilted my head, "-Oh! you mean how!" I chuckled and stepped forward fixing his tie.

"I don't just wake up with these curls," I chuckled. However I prayed my curls looked presentable as I did just wake up with these curls.

Marcus still looked at me waiting for a clear answer and instead of rolling my eyes I smiled sweetly at him and kissed his neck.

"I burn't myself with the curling iron," I said slowly and finally Marcus understood what I met.

"Why didn't you say so?" He smirked and a second later roughly placed his lips on mine. I was taken aback as his anger subsided almost immediately and he believed one of the oldest excuses in the book.

Thankfully, I didn't have time to adjust to the kiss as he pulled back and cringed slightly.

I gave him a fake look of sympathy and touched his cheek.

"Has it gotten any better?" I frowned as my fingers trailed his bruises. However on the inside I was laughing evilly and silently sending all my love to Alexander for doing this to him.

Sending all my love? Wow Victoria.

"No," Marcus grumbled, "-the bastards going to pay for what he did though," He said clenching his jaw and I awkwardly nodded my head.

"You're going to beat him up?" I couldn't help but ask. However the thought was humorous, considering he was left defenseless against Alexander last time round.

"No. I'll get a few of my men to rough him up," Marcus said and I looked at him in what probably looked like a judgmental stare.

Ladies and Gentlemen this is what I would like to call a wimp.

Though, I didn't dare say that out loud.

"Oh?" I questioned, "-why don't you rough him up?" I asked almost disappointed in the man.

"Because I-" Marcus paused and then cleared his throat, "-because, I would hate to ruin my reputation," he said nonchalantly, shrugging his shoulders.

"We wouldn't want that now would we?" I cooed in a sarcastic tone, however Marcus probably didn't catch onto it considering he smiled.

"Exactly."

After another sloppy kiss Marcus leaned back and sighed as he glanced at the silver watch on his wrist.

"Right I've got to get going, I have some business to take care of," Marcus said fixing up his suit as he showed himself out.

Business to take care of on an early Sunday morning?

"Alright. I'll see you tomorrow," I told him with a smile. Marcus placed a small kiss onto my cheek before opening the door to my apartment and walking away.

I shut the door as soon as he was out of sight. Leaning my back on the door I closed my eyes and sighed.

After a moment, I straightened myself up and began making my way to my bedroom. I had no plans and decided to make one for myself.

I'd go see Alexander. Not too see him... Just to start putting our plan in action and begin our revenge.

With that thought, I quickly got dressed into a simple attire. Well fitted jeans, a fancy top and some accessories- I was ready to go.

Jogging down the stairs I grabbed my hand bag and keys, then made my way out.

When I got to the car I typed in Alexanders address. Truth be told-I haven't been to his house before however I had the address.

Surprisingly it was further than I thought. A solid half hour away.

When I arrived to Alexanders house, I parked my car beside the shiny red sports car that was placed in the drive way. I hopped out of my car and locked it before turning around to face the house.

"Wow," I whispered to myself.

Alexander had an impressive house. It was two stories high and even had its own large pond at the front with several pebbles. The design was ecstatic and I couldn't help but feel envy.

Sure, I had my own fairly luxuries house but this...this was better.

With a deep breath, I began making my way to what I assumed as the front door. Seeing a bell on the side I pressed it and leaned back feeling nervous.

What if he wasn't home? Maybe he isn't? Should I leave

Despite my thoughts, I couldn't leave because the door started opening. I held my breath as it opened all the way and Alexander stood in front of me.

I was taken aback however. It was one of the rare moments were Alexander wasn't wearing a suit. Instead, he wore dark washed out jeans,

I was anxious to find out, so I stood up and kneeled down to Alexanders sitting height.

"Hey," I said placing my hand on his cheek to get his face to face mine, "what about her?"

Alexander finally looked at me. He stared into my eyes and I felt intrigued by his dark stormy eyes.

Alexander opened his mouth to speak and his warm breath made me lick my lips.

"Are...are you trying to take advantage of me?" he asked genuinely curious as he tilted his head.

Snapping back to reality I rolled by eyes and leaned back.

"No. Now tell me. Who's Rebecca?" I asked slowly and Alexander smiled.

"My sister," He simply said.

I have no idea why, but I felt relief when he said that.

"And what happened to her?" I asked cautiously and I was right to do so.

Alexanders eyes darkened and he didn't look so happy anymore. His smile vanished and he looked at me through angry eyes.

"Marcus," he gritted out, "He killed her."

I took in a sharp intake of breath. Alexanders eyes were starting to drop as his lids got heavy and I rushed to get answers.

"How?" I demanded, "-what did he do?"

Alexanders anger started to slowly vanish as he yawned and I impatiently waited for his answer.

"Made her love him. He broke her heart, put her into depression," He softly stated leaning back into his chair, closing his eyes.

"Then.." He trailed off with a yawn his head leaning on the back of the chair.

"She couldn't handle it. She took her life."

I stopped breathing. This new piece of information was a stab to the heart.

Alexander stopped moving, his breaths coming out shallow-asleep. I couldn't help but just stare at him with a mixture of shock and sadness.

I slowly stood up and stumbled onto the sofa behind me. Sitting down.

Marcus. I thought darkly. You better watch out.
